Tell Me About God, Mother

Mario V. Farina

Tell Me About God, Mother.

A child gazed into her mother's eyes.
Tell me about God, she said.

God is love, my child.
God loves you and me.
In all the world, there is no greater love.

Tell me about love, Mother.
I know that love is wonderful, but what is love?
Tell me about love.

Love is truth, my child.
Love is God's greatest truth.
In all the world, there is no greater truth.

Tell me about truth, Mother.
I know that truth is wonderful, but what is truth?
Tell me about truth.

Truth is life, my child.
Life is God's greatest gift.
Without truth, there could be no gift of life.

Tell me about life, Mother.
I know that life is wonderful, but what is life?
Tell me about life?

Life is you, my child.
Life made it possible for you to be..
Without life, there could be no you.

Tell me about me, Mother.
Who am I? Why do you speak about me
when I ask about God?

Because you are unique, my child.
In all the world, there is not another you.
In you, I see life, and love, and truth.
In you, I see God.
