Tempting Adam- Dorie Graham

Terri Pray
Tempting Adam is one of the earlier Blaze novels, released in October 2002 and sports the number 58 on the spine.

Lauren Bryant has a secret admirer. It starts with flowers, then quickly moves onto an erotic cookbook that has her mind reeling over just who could be behind the gifts. When she sits down to work it out she comes to the decision that her admirer can only be her best friend, Adam Morely. Adam has made it clear that it's time he was looking for a wife, and then the gifts start to arrive. So who else could it be?

When his comments suggest an interest she begins to look at him in an entirely new way. No longer as the boy she'd grown up with, who had always been there as a friend, and co-trouble maker, but as a sexy and potentially irresistible man.

She values his friendship, she always will, but the gift of the erotic cook book, speaks for itself. And their new sensual encounters rock her world. But Adam's vision of a wife, children and white picket fence, or nice house in a good part of the city, leaves Lauren with cold feet. She's not ready to be a stay at home mother. She's happy running her own business and being in control of her life and she struggles with her decision to seduce him.

If she loses him to another woman than her friendship with him will change forever and in a way she's not sure she's prepared to deal with.

So, when Lauren propositions him, Adam is sure his deepest fantasies have come to life. He's always wanted Lauren in his arms and his bed, but he is not her secret admirer. And he becomes determined to seduce her into a life long commitment with him - before she discovers the truth and runs for the hills.

Tempting Adam is a heated, sensual little read. The fun thing with these Blaze novels is you can tear through them within a few hours. They can be a guilty little secret for an hour or two of self indulgence. Dorie Graham has created a nice, uncomplicated erotic romance and I enjoyed my time curling up to read her creations.
