Tempus Fugit

Tony Payne
Today the time it flew by fast
I really don't know why
I thought I had things in my grasp
But it's already nearly five!

I try to write a daily rhyme
To keep my friends amused
It also helps the little grey cells
But today I'm left confused

Where oh where the morning went
I just don't have a clue
And then as for this afternoon
That likewise vanished too

So here I am and time is short
But write a rhyme I must
I know this isn't quite my best
But you will like it I trust

The clock ticks on and so I must
Complete this daily poem
If time I had I could go on
Ten verses more ongoing

But NO I'm going to STOP!

Very good, I liked this one a lot, and the Latin title was very good. :0)

Well I have to admit that I could use the money, plus it's also good experience. Some days I struggle to write, both because of time as well as not being able to come up with any ideas. Today though, I started with one idea, but after that read someone else's poem and then wrote another 5 of my own.

There is no way that I could publish every day. I admire your discipline!

Time flies past way too fast unfortunately, especially as you get older. I made up for the lack of articles yesterday with my head racing away today - Limericks galore.

Some days it is just good to be kind to ourselves.

LOL Morag :) Well, I was working actually, but usually I manage to find the time to come up with something early morning, yesterday I just got too wound up with work.

Times flies when you're having fun. I won't ask what you were doing instead of writing!
