Ten Blogs About Reality TV

Reality TV has become a huge genre over the recent years. It's cheap to produce as many people are willing to either compete or humiliate themselves on the air for little to no money. Whether you're trying to become the next super model (America's Next Top Model, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, 8th & Ocean), a well known chef (Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen), or you've just been given a show because you are rich (The Hills, Laguna Beach), many American's are willing to tune in to watch. Some are even willing to blog about it.

Blogging Project Runway - Dedicated to Bravo's Project Runway, a reality show where aspiring fashion designers compete in tasks such as designing for dogs or making a dress for Miss USA, this blog covers everything about the show. Its three contributors post interviews with competitors who have been "Auf'd," links to news about Project Runway, and even a quiz you can take to find out which contestant you are most like. What I like best about this site is the extensive collection on links on the right side of the page. Everything there is on the web about Project Runway is linked to, including the Myspace pages of the contestants and their models.

Real World/Road Rules Challenge Fresh Meat - As if seeing the inhabitants of The Real World houses once wasn't enough, some of them have been brought back to compete with former cast members of Road Rules in ridiculous competitions. The Laguna Beach Hook-Up - MTV struck gold with its alleged-reality series Laguna Beach which follows the lives of teenagers in Laguna Beach, CA.
