Las Vegas is a dream destination for many and just because you are a planning a trip to Las Vegas does not mean that your vacation has to break the bank! Las Vegas is filled to the brim with plenty of inexpensive things to see and do around the city. You can come to Las Vegas and having great fun filled vacation without spending a fortune. Here is some ideas for 10 budget friendly activities in the Sin City

Bellagio Fountains: The fountains at the Bellagio are truly spectacular and completely free. Find a spot in front of the Bellagio Hotel and be treated to the dancing fountains that take place every 15 minutes. The fountains are programmed to dance in time to the music playing. For a breathtaking experience, make sure you make the time to stop by after dark for a totally different experience.

Slots of Fun: You certainly can't go wrong with a low-cost gambling when you visit the Strip in Las Vegas. After all, Las Vegas is about gambling, but you know that you can lose your shirt with too much gambling. No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a visit to Slots of Fun. If you have a roll of pennies, you can spend all day playing the penny slots, and you never know, you might win a few back, too! The gambling, food, and drinks are cheaper here than at some of the other casinos. Of course, Slots of Fun also has quarter and dollar slots, but if you limit yourself to the penny or nickel slots, you can still have fun with next to nothing

Caesar's Palace Forum Shops: If you enjoy people watching and window shopping, then consider taking a stop to the forum shops located inside Caesar's Palace. Of course this stock is only a budget friendly if you can control your inner spender. There are big name designer stores, but the Forum Shops have plenty to see and do for free as well. The mall is massive, and the talking statues can be quite entertaining. It is also a great place to eat or get souvenirs for your trip. There are many low-cost souvenir shops that sell all sorts of Las Vegas, souvenir items in the mall. You can also find yummy places to eat such as The Cheesecake Factory, Spago, and Bertollini's.

FAO Schwarz: also located in Caesar's Palace forum shops, this mega toy store delights kids both old and young. This toy store is only friendly on your pocketbook, if you can control your spending. Check out the gigantic stuffed animals, baby doll nursery and the collection of hard-to-find Barbie dolls. Besides toys galore, the talking statues and giant fish tank are sure to be a hit. Your kid will delight at the enormous horse at the entrance of the store, that actually blows steam out of its nose.

Fremont Street: If you are in downtown Las Vegas at night, be sure to see the Freemont Street Experience. It is a free light show that comes to life every half hour. Downtown also has lower room rates and lower limit tables than some of the bigger hotels up on the Strip. Many seasoned Las Vegas travelers will tell you there's nothing quite like experiencing downtown Las Vegas after dark.

Circus Circus: Circus Circus is located on the far end of the Las Vegas strip and is a popular themed hotel. It features the adventure down, which offers relatively inexpensive things to do with the kids. You can spend an afternoon at Circus Circus playing an expensive arcade games, miniature golf and watching free Acrobat shows that take place throughout the day.

The Sirens of TI: Here is a free show for you-- it is the Sirens of TI, also known as the Treasure Island pirate show. If you have never visited the Treasure Island Hotel (now simply calls TI), you are missing a great show that takes place every night after dark. The large pirate ship in front of the hotel comes to life with a sights and sounds show that kids and adults will both love. If you plan on watching the show, make sure you arrive in plenty of time to get a good location.

Rio Hotel: Another great free show is the Masquerade in the Sky at the Rio. The show is on nightly, and if you sit near the buffet, you can also watch the entertaining antics of the flair bartenders at the same time. This is a perfect show for when you want to sit back and relax without spending a fortune. If you love the show, you can pay about $13 per person to ride on one of the floats.

Grand Canal Shoppes: Another nice mall to walk through is the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel. You can browse the shops, watch the gondolas go by both inside and outside the hotel, or sit and just enjoy the music and the people. The Postrio and the Canonita both offer menu items for dining that will not totally break the bank. You can also visit these restaurants, for dessert, which will save you a little money. If you find that you are completely in love with the gondolas and want to ride one, here is a tip to help you save some money. The gondolas that are outdoors are cheaper than the ones indoors.

Ethel M. Chocolate Factory: If you have the ability to drive a little bit outside of the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas strip, then travel to Henderson located a few miles away and visit the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. This tour takes you through a real working chocolate factory and allows you an insight on how chocolate is made and you get free samples at the end of your tour. Best of all, this is completely free. You can be sure that adults and kids alike will love visiting the chocolate factory.

It is important to keep in mind that all Las Vegas hotels want you to spend your money either by gambling, shopping or eating. If you keep this in mind and think about your budget, you can easily spend your Las Vegas vacation doing budget friendly activities that will save you big bucks.
