No longer does dieting mean starvation with over 200 yummy recipes for everything from dinner to dessert, and illustrated with fifty photos certain to make your mouth water.

Water Purifier - Remind your favorite dieter to drink plenty of water with a Brita filtration pitcher fromdrugstore.com. This model comes with a pitcher, filter, and lid, and it filters out and reduces sediment, lead, benzene, and chlorine giving water a better taste and odor. Not only that, it is much easier to use than most types of filtration units. For even more delicious water, consider a sink filter that only needs changed once a year.

Giftcard for new clothes - What better gift for someone who is transforming their body than the gift of a giftcard specifically for new clothing? Choose trendy shops that your dieter may never have thought they would ever be able to shop from to inspire and reward them for their hard work. Or, is they have not yet lost much weight, buy department-store cards. Be sure to check for expiration dates prior to purchasing. Some companies add unfair expiration date restrictions to cards, which makes them lose value if any delay occurs before use.

Pedometer Pulse Meter - The Robic Pedometer with Pulse Meter available through Swim Outlet is a lightweight programmable pedometer with either twelve or twenty-four hour time display options. Night time walking is no problem with an illuminated blue Hi Glo electro luminescent backlight so you can read the pedometer at night. Clip it on your belt with the built-in belt clip and use the pulse rate finger sensor to check beats per minute. With this handy all-inclusive gadget, you can tell how far you traveled and how much time elapsed for your journey as well as how many calories were burned, steps taken, and your heart rate.

Journal - A beautiful, personal journal is a lovely sentiment for any dieter to keep track of emotional changes as well as physical ones. Each entry may someday inspire them to continue with their quest or remind them of the challenges they went through to lose weight. For a little more, consider filling a gift basket with a matching address book, pens, and stationary for a gift that reminds them to both reflect and keep in touch.

MP3 player - Music is one of the best ways to encourage walkers to keep walking. An MP3 player like an I-Pod, Creative Zen, or mobiBLU cube. Be sure to buy a lanyard accessory kit or sport wrap so it can easily travel with your favorite dieter as they plod down a few blocks.

Citrus - A case of oranges and/or grapefruit from sunny Florida is a delicious treat that won't cause a diet dilemma. Many companies offer cases of citrus for a great price that can be delivered anywhere in the country. Once a favorite diet food, grapefruit are high in vitamin C, and oranges have recently been praised by many for their folic acid and antioxidant capabilities.

When you think about dieters this holiday season, consider these gifts which show that you support a dieter's commitment to health and well being. A dieter does much better if they know they have a team of family and friends behind them, lovingly reminding them that they are worth the effort! Happy Holidays.

buying an overweight person a gift card to a store they most likely can't shop at will probably just remind the person that they are still overweight
