Ten Great Songs by Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks dominated country music charts in the 1980s with top selling songs that have become a staple of American country music radio.

His first single, Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old), was released in 1989. The song was from Garth's first solo album and features a song about a real life rodeo cowboy named Chris LeDoux. The song peaked at number 8 on Billboard's Hot Country chart.

Longneck Bottle, another number one song, was from the album, Sevens. The song was written by Steve Wariner, and he is featured on the song playing guitar and singing background vocals.

Workin' For A Livin', a collaboration with Huey Lewis, features both artists singing and jamming on the harmonica. The song is a remake of the same title by Huey Lewis and The News that first reached chart success in 1982.

Garth Brooks officially retired in 2000, although he has recorded with wife, Trisha Yearwood, and he still makes public appearances. Expect Garth to make some more hit records, perhaps in a duet with his wife, and have top selling music again.
