Ten Lessons in Humility

A.M. Morgan
1. You are not as smart as you think you are. Learning is a never ending process. Keep an open mind and always read and study to acquire further knowledge. The world is constantly changing so embrace new skills and techniques for doing something.

2. Don't underestimate the value of following through with the promises you've made. You can have a proven track record of producing results but don't become so relaxed that you don't always finish what you've started.

3. Being addicted to praise can be a growth killer. Compliments are a great boost to the ego. However, growing as a person does not always come with any praise or approval.

4. Saying please and thank you are absolutely necessary. A vocal sign of appreciation to others speaks volumes in regards to your character.

5. Attractiveness can only get you so far. At some point what you bring to the table outside of the superficial department will become a frequent topic of discussion.

6. Manage your expectations or you will become frequently disappointed. Nothing will ever be perfect and people will let you down even if not purposely. Expect greatness but be humbled by the imperfect side of human nature.

7. Time is easily lost so treat each moment as critical tomorrow does not matter as much as the present.

8. Education is an enabler to success but not the definition of it

9. Compete with grace if you lose yourself in trying to win you may find yourself being the unpleasant someone you never desired to become.

10. Pray for patience life has the tendency to take you through many periods of uncertainty without prior notification of what will be the final outcome.

This was so awesome and beautiful! People that are always so full of themselves always end up feeling empty!

I agree with all of these... I try not to take myself too seriously..
