Ten Most Popular Mediatakeout.Com Topics of 2010

Ayanna Guyhto
If you haven't yet figured it out, the Internet is on full celebrity gossip overload. But where urban celeb news is concerned, Mediatakeout.com happens to be one of the top-rated sites of all. The information therein isn't always completely accurate. But then again, how much gossip are we ever 100% certain is true? If you're an avid follower of this website, you probably noticed a few celebrity reporting trends. Feast your eyes on these ten...

Fake Booties

Fake derrieres were all the rage in 2010. And Mediatakeout presented a full line-up of celebrities (and wannabes) who have upgraded their posterior ends with a little booty boost. The jury is still out on whether or not these enhancements are surgical or otherwise. But watching the parade of women sporting pillow-shaped tushies proved to be quite entertaining.

Celebrity Bling, Bags, and Shoes

This website is as much about Living the Good Life, as it is about salacious talk. That being said, if you want to know what fashions your favorite stars are rocking, look no further than Mediatakeout.com, which is known its penchant for advertising the latest (and priciest) handbags, sneakers, and other trinkets.

Outrageous News

Every now and again, Mediatakeout will link to some of the world's strangest international news stories, especially murders with some kind of bizarre twist. These are the grotesque killings that pepper the news, internationally. But this slant also includes shocking and sometimes touching human-interest stories.

Oh, the Video Models

Every time a new "video model" steps onto the scene, Mediatakeout is front and center with raunchy pics. The photo spreads (bad pun intended) usually feature said model straddling a chair or some other inanimate object, slathered in oil, wearing dental floss that doubles as a swimsuit, and airbrushed to perfection. (Note: To be fair, the site does offer the occasional "Man Candy" pic for the ladies...)

Celebrity Red Carpet Appearances

Oscars, Emmys, Tonys, Grammys, BET, People's Choice, Golden Globes. It doesn't matter the special occasion; Mediatakeout is right there. The focus is most often African American celebrities who make entrances on the red carpet. But the website tries hard to leave no fashion faux pas unturned.

Video Clips from World Star Hip Hop

One of this gutsy website's highlights is the collection of crazy amateur videos that people would be too shocked or embarrassed to watch. Many of the videos have been linked from WorldStarHipHop.com-a site equally dedicated to entertaining urban audiences. The videos are sometimes violent-snippets of combustible fist fights that bleed out into the streets. For the most part, the videos are knock-you-off-your-seat hilarious-- outrageous public rants, crazy dance routines, or other tomfoolery.

Politics

Yes, even America's #1 source of juicy gossip takes a firm interest in the country's state of affairs. Surprisingly, this website often highlighted President Obama's current "popularity rate" along with updates on various bills passed in the White House. Mediatakeout's stories may not always be in the best taste. But you can't say the site isn't well rounded.

Cheaters, cheaters, and more cheaters...

If you want to find out who your favorite NFL or NBA player is cheating on his wife/girlfriend with-just look to Mediatakeout.com to name the "jumpoff." This urban gossip site seems to always have the skinny on who's been naughty or nice. And given the number of celebrity scandals in 2010, celebs offered plenty of fodder material.

"Candid Camera"

Mediatakeout just wouldn't be the same without its fair share of "candid" shots sent in from random site visitors. These are the photos snapped from camera phones on buses and subways, nightclubs, and even private homes. Many of these subjects are children, often under the age of 4 years old, holding cigarettes, bottles of alcohol-or shown under other totally inappropriate circumstances. Most of the pics however, are of unsuspecting subjects whose photos were submitted due to bad hairdos, risqué "modeling" shoots, or outlandish outfits.

Facebook Abuse

2010 was the Year of the Inappropriate Facebook post. Comb through the pages on Mediatakeout.com and you'll find plenty of people who have used Facebook for Evil. STD revelations, public (vulgar) break-ups, and even involuntary 'outings' have turned the popular social networking site into a worldwide confessional booth. Should you broadcast your best buddy's disgusting babydaddy drama in retaliation for her canoodling with your mother's new boyfriend? Probably not. But if you do, Mediatakeout.com will post it for the rest of the world to see...
