Ten in One 9-8-08: Frying Pans of Doom!

Divinity Rose: Soulfood from a Showgirl
SURRENDER ...SURRENDER... SURRENDER.... Over the last couple weeks, circumstances have been pounding against me as I mentally dug my heels in and vowed, "I refuse to surrender to anything external trying to draw me into hurting myself or others."

And what a battle that has been. It seemed the harder I tried to react in love, the more trying and frustrating my surroundings became. I'd start to get caught up: mentally beating myself up or reacting but then catch myself and say "Bless this" and "Praises for allowing me to experience what this is like!" The harder I felt the push externally, the more I tried to give and be resolute and ask for help in letting only blessings leave my mouth.

And although our strength comes from the ability to refrain from surrendering to our surroundings, surrender is exactly what we need: surrender to our souls. I swear an angel of great strength has been following me with the thickest frying pan available in heaven. I may have the dents in my head to prove it. LET GO! LET GO! LET GO!

It did make a lovely rhythm. I love percussion. It makes me shake my booty: maybe not so much when it's my head making the booms and bangs. I digress.

I very clearly saw some of these trying circumstances leading to experiences for myself and others involved that fit us better but it seemed as though anger, hate, and fear were trying very hard to create an illusion that would allow us to drop our responsibility for ourselves and blame each other, when really there was no reason to blame anyone. When I focused on letting go and being in the moment, I was fine. If I looked away from that, it was very easy to become a stressed out mess, and it felt like everything around me was trying harder and harder to get me to look away. Even trying circumstances lead us closer to our highest vision of ourselves if we will only let go, listen, and walk in faith.

That's what seems to happen when we're on the right track. Don't forget that spirits feed off of human emotion. As I've said before, spirits - fear, peace, anger, love, hate, patience, pride, etc - are thought patterns and what our brain recognizes in what it perceives around us. We can consciously choose to allow ourselves to get worked up in a way that supports any of them, giving them more energy and thus more power over us, or we can choose to recognize them and blow them a kiss.

We can let go of these trouble makers in two steps. 1) Take responsibility for ourselves and 2) Let go.

Letting go does not mean you love others any less. It means you are not responsible for others, their actions, their consequences, or the choices they make. You are only responsible for yourself and how you treat others. Isn't that a huge weight off of your shoulders? I've found it's better than being your own drum corp with the frying pan of doom (doom, doom).

The bonus prize is that when we let go, we make room in our lives for stuff that is so much better for us.

What areas of your life are jumping out and begging for you to let go of? Are there circumstances that you're upset you don't have control over? Are there people or circumstances you're stressing over? Are you fighting to keep something that is trying to leave your life?

Two words: Sounds like: Shet no. ..or bet so....met po ...yet mo..... fro grow....wait..that's not right.....you get the idea.

Five: The Tightrope:

(a glimpse at the paths I currently find myself walking... )

Oh, God, I surrender...I break down before you..take it..I don't wanna' drive anymore..just take it...take it all..I am just so desperate to love .....

I want a life...a life that means something...and for so long I wanted a life that means something to others..but now...I want a life that means something to me...so, take this fear and be a cornerstone in the rebuilding of the temple of me...I want to be pure and holy enough to deserve my temple.

I surrender.

Let me shine, shine, shine as I rebuild the temple of me.

Six: Sideshow Snippet:

(Snippets from journals )

Words are spirit - living things brought into the physical - malleable, flexible, and they can be shifted, arranged and thrown about in many different ways.

I'm sorry...but I'm precious and like many precious things, I'm a little fragile. So, I'm being a little more careful with me.

This too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass.

May only blessings leave my mouth.. only praises spoken.

'Ello, 'Ello Diablo, I see you. 'Ello, 'Ello Dios, help me to set my sights on you and your wonders.

I'm so tired of people not seeing the amazing miracles all around us...and how truly miraculous we are. Don't downplay my paradise!!!

Today is a big day! I am super excited to see what miracles lie in store for me.

Ten: Grand Finale:

I had a major realization as I found myself surrounded by some chaos, drama and unpleasantries... Those things and people are not my life. My life is my experience...my thoughts...my loves...my passions, my dreams, my promises...my song. Which means my life is my choice.

We always have a choice. As our lives are our own and we always have a choice, that means our lives are our responsibilities. What we allow into our lives are our responsibilities. Sometimes, others do something that have an effect on our lives we wouldn't choose, but it's our responsibility to handle it in a manner that will solve the 'problem' rather than blow it out of proportion. Sometimes, that's a really tough pill to swallow.

I hope you realize this week that it is true that "great power comes with great responsibility", but with responsibility also comes a great freedom you may never have expected.

So, take responsibility for your joy, and get out there and claim your freedom!!! I'll see you there...maybe we can turn our frying pans of doom (doom, doom) into some sort of strange banjos and dance a jig together.

Dream well, dream deep and may all paths lead you back to the heart.

Love, Light and Blessings to send you through your dream,
