Ten Reasons to Move to Central Florida

Jack Oceano
Central Florida is more than just a mecca for tourists; it is a fabulous place to live. Here are ten reasons to move to Central Florida.

One. The cost of living in Central Florida is very reasonable. A quick visit to cityrating.com will afford you the opportunity to compare the cost of living in cities such as Orlando to other major cities in the United States. It costs less than half to live in Central Florida than it does to live in cities such as New York and San Francisco.

Two. The climate is wonderful. If you love warm weather year-round, Central Florida might just be the ticket for you. With an average temperature of sixty in January, Central Florida offers mild winters and summers that are hot but quite liveable.

Three. Of course, the theme parks in Central Florida, including Walt Dinsey's Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom, are the main attraction in Orlando, with Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure right behind. Florida residents get pretty good deals on year-round passes to these theme parks and more.

Four. Along with the theme parks come excellent restaurants, including many at the larger Disney and Universal resorts. If you enjoy superb sit-down dinners in a magnificent atmosphere, Central Florida truly delivers.

Five. Theme parks aren't the only entertainment Central Florida has to offer. Central Florida is filled with great shows, live entertainment, and exceptional nightlife. There is always something to do in Orlando and the greater Orlando area.

Six. Central Florida is, of course, centrally located in the Sunshine State, and affords you access to wonderful cities such as Jacksonville, Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, and Miami.

Seven. You are also never very far from some of Florida's best beaches. With the Atlantic Ocean on Florida's east coast and the Gulf of Mexico on the west, Central Florida offers access to some truly fabulous beaches.

Eight. There is a lot of affordable housing in Central Florida, much of which is new. Rental prices are incredibly reasonable and located in some fantastic areas. Check out apartments.com for some ideas.

Nine. Central Florida is filled with friendly people. It is a pleasure to deal with Floridians on a daily basis, and it is easy to make new friends.

Ten. If you are a baseball fan, you can start looking forward to next February, when Major League Baseball players report to Spring Training. The Grapefruit League holds practices and exhibition games in Florida throughout the entire month of March.

Thanks for reading these ten reasons to move to Central Florida.
