Using 14 ounces of coconut milk as a base blend 2 bananas, 6 strawberries without caps, and one cup of ice. The coconut milk gives a new twist to the standard strawberry-banana smoothie.
Blend together 12 ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice, one peeled, grapefruit, seeds removed, and a banana with a cup of ice. This is a refreshing citrus take on the smoothie.
With 12 ounces of coconut, 2 peeled bananas, 1 peeled, seeds removed orange, a peeled, pit removed peach and a cup of ice, you can make a smoothie that tastes like a non-alcoholic version of Sex on the Beach.
Again using 12 ounces of fresh squeezed orange juice as your base, blend with a peeled, seeds removed orange, 2 peeled seeds removed tangerines, 1 peeled, seeds removed nectarine, and 1 peeled, seeds removed grapefruit with 1 1/2 cups of ice, and you will create a more complex citrus smoothie.
Using 10 ounces of pineapple juice, 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks, 1/2 cup coconut meat, 1 banana and a mango with a cup of ice, you are in for a tropical colada treat with this one.
Blend 10 ounces of fresh apple juice with watermelon, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe, and 1 1/2 cups ice for a lighter, melon flavored smoothie.
12 ounces of grapefruit juice, watermelon, a peeled cucumber, 1 tbs raw honey, and the juice of one lime blended with 2 cups of ice will give you a simply watermelon flavored smoothie.
Blend 10 ounces of raw milk yogurt with a kiwi, 1 mango,1/2 cup of coconut meat, 2 bananas and 1 1/2 cups of ice for a thick, tropical smoothie.
Using 8 ounces of water, blend one cup blueberries with 2 bananas and a cup of ice for a surprisingly filling smoothie.
With 10 ounces of apple juice as your base, blend together with 1 cup blackberries, 1 cup raspberries, 1 cup seedless grapes and a seeds removed pear for a slightly tangy berry smoothie.
As I have demonstrated, the smoothie possibilities are endless. Once you have the simple formula down, you will feel comfortable with experimenting with combinations of your own. Remember if the smoothie is too thick add more base. Too thin? Add more fruit or ice.
