Ten Steps Towards Blemish Free Skin

Ways to Have a Great Complexion

Both men and women alike want to have great skin. Your face is the first thing people see. A good complexion is just one of those things that we want to have. There are many things that affect your facial skin. Some of these things can leave it dry, red, blotchy, discolored, and otherwise blemished. There are also many things you can do to prevent that from happening. Here are ten tips that will help you to get your complexion in tip top shape.

1. The first tip is to properly wash your face. The facial skin is different from the rest of the skin on your body. It is more sensitive, more delicate. The skin on your face may break out or become red if you are using a regular body soap or shampoo to wash it. Using these soaps can not only blemish your facial skin but it can also dry it out and damage it.

2. The second step towards blemish free skin is to use a lotion. Dry skin is unhappy skin. On your face dry skin means cracked, wrinkled, discolored skin. Dry facial skin is not balanced either. This leads to breakouts. To prevent all of this and leave your facial skin glowing use a facial lotion. A body lotion will likely do more harm than good but a facial lotion is meant specifically for moisturizing the face. This will leave your face bright and fresh, looking it's very best.

3. The third thing you can do to improve the look of your skin is to be careful of what you put on it. Many cosmetics will break out your skin. Cosmetics containing oil will clog pores and cause blemishes. When you are shopping for cosmetics choose hypo allergenic and oil free products. These types don't do that. They can be worn without irritating your sensitive facial skin.

4. The fourth thing you can do to have a great complexion is to get outside in the sunlight! A natural tan on the face can do wonders for your complexion. The vitamins your skin absorbs from the sunlight can as well. Using a faux tanner is not the way to go. These mostly look unnatural. The way to look your best is to go natural. Spending a few minutes in the sun each day will keep your skin bright and glowing.

5. The fifth thing you can do to have great blemish free skin is to improve your diet. Eating junk foods and things containing high amounts of fat is sure to cause you to break out. A healthy diet provides your skin with all of the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. When skin is healthy it looks great. Our skin relies on what we eat to maintain it's health. If it does not receive all it needs to maintain it's health it will lose it. Unhealthy skin does not look as good as healthy skin, there's no getting around that.

6. The sixth thing you can do to have blemish free skin is to take a daily multi vitamin. As mentioned in tip five, your skin needs to be healthy to look good. The facial skin is dependant, just as the rest of the skin is, on certain vitamins and minerals. Without enough it will loose it's glow, it's color, and will also break out. Taking a vitamin each day ensures all of your body will be healthy, facial skin included.

7. The seventh tip is to make sure you are hydrated. When enough fluids are received your facial skin is healthy looking, and bright. You'll have a nice color to your skin. When the body begins to get dehydrated the facial skin suffers. Make sure to drink enough water to prevent dryness, discoloring, wrinkles, and breakouts.

8. The eighth thing you can do to have great looking skin is to keep your hands off of it. Putting your hands on your face transfers dirt and oils from your fingertips onto the facial skin. This can clog pores and lead to nasty breakouts.

9. The ninth thing you can do to improve the way your skin looks is to not pick at it. Hands off, like tip eight. Picking at, squeezing, or popping blemishes can only make problems worse. The tenth tip will show you how to deal with them instead.

10. The tenth and final tip that will help you to have great facial skin is to use a blemish medication. Apply the medication according to the directions on the label. Many great medications are available over the counter. Choose one from the store or ask your doctor if he or she can prescribe you something to clear up breakouts. Many are available, and they help. Why not use one? Thanks for reading and take care!
