Here are ten super facts about Heinz Field.

1. Heinz Field is located at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (forming the Ohio River).

2. The stadium is named for the H.J. Heinz Company, maker of ketchup and other fine food products.

3.Heinz Field is the home turf for the National Football League's, the Pittsburgh Steelers (five time Super Bowl Champions), as well as the University of Pittsburgh's football team, the Panthers.

4. The first event held at Heinz Field was a concert by Grammy award winning group, NSync in August, 2001.

5. The open end of the stadium features a giant Jumbotron screen, as well as, spectacular views of downtown Pittsburgh, and Mount Washington.

6. The grass field has been named one of the top places to play football, and of the the worst, after a 'mud bowl' game between the Steelers and the Miami Dolphins, in 2007.

7. The Backyard Brawl, a yearly rivalry between Big East football rivals, the University of Pittsburgh and the West Virginia Mountaineers, is played at Heinz Field in even numbered years.

8.The Steelers won the first regular season NFL game at Heinz Field, beating AFC rival, the Cincinnati Bengals in 2001.

9. Heinz Field is owned by the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.

10. Heinz Field is the home of the Coca Cola Great Hall featuring murals, sports memorabalia, and a retail and concession area.
