Ten Television Extraterrestrials Men Would Love to Date

(Ten TV Aliens Men Would Go Out With)

Rolando Cruz
They say that all is fair in love and war, a statement that can easily be expanded to include how television networks compete for rating points. This is especially true for shows which target males in the 18-49 demographic. Typically whenever such shows turn out to be Sci-Fi series that features extraterrestrials, you can bet the house that it will feature at least one or two "alien babes" tailor-made to make male hearts palpitate. Here then is a list of ten alien hotties that most men would love to date, or at least have an out of this world fling with.

T'Pol (Jolene Blalock), Enterprise, 2001-2005

For men who have trouble with overly emotional women, T'Pol would probably make for the perfect date. Hailing from the planet Vulcan, and stationed as the Science Officer aboard the earliest incarnation of the starship Enterprise, T'Pol is no stranger to dating men from the planet Earth. While the ability to control her emotions and her well endowed body may rate as a plus, her picky eating habits and overly developed sense of smell might be construed as negatives for some men. However, men may also find it refreshing, that unlike some women, T'Pol would use clear logic to win her arguments with a mate. In the television series this point eared vixen was portrayed by former model Jolene Blalock.

Anna (Morena Baccarin), V, 2009- Present

Women who simply go by one name normally have a commanding presence and charisma, and Anna, the queen bee of the alien invaders in the Sci-Fi series V, is the embodiment of such a woman. Cool and emotionally reserved, as her cold blooded reptilian blood would dictate, Anna has been known to devour her mates, literally. If Anna ever condescended to dating a human, you can be sure it would be a strategic move aimed at gaining power or political advantage. Nevertheless, her face is one which most men would love, and more than a few could be enticed into a date with this female she-devil. The character is played by Brazilian Morena Baccarin, who formerly started as a hooker with a heart of gold, in the television space adventure Firefly.

Isabel Evans (Katherine Heigl), Roswell, 1999-2002

Long before she was Izzy Stevens on TV's Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl was playing the half alien- half human Isabel Evans on the short lived series Roswell. Popular and pretty, yet reserved and a bit unapproachable, Isabel would present a challenge for most men. However, her soft spot for Christmas may present a way into her heart, as do her desires to lead a secured and normal life. Still, it must be noted that Isabel has the ability to "dream walk," an ability that allows her to enter a person's thoughts or dreams while they sleep, so suitors beware.

Kara Zor-El (Laura Vandervoort), Smallville, 2007-2008

Kara (aka Supergirl), is Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin in the television series Smallville. Unlike her more famous super cousin who on the show has not yet learned to fly, Kara can fly. This ability when added on to all the other abilities that Clark possesses, creates a true super woman for any man. However, unlike Clark who grew up inside a stable earthly family, Kara's years of living in suspended animation, along with her "daddy issues," may present some dating challenges for most men.

Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), Star Trek: Voyager, 1997- 2001

A human turned Borg, and then turned human again (mostly), Seven of Nine makes for a girl like no other. Technically Seven of Nine is not an alien, though the fact that almost 20% of her Borg implants have not been completely removed, make her fair game for this list. Straight faced and virtually unemotional, but with a body that fills her form fitting Star Trek uniforms well, Seven of Nine would have little difficulty attracting male companionship. Her indifference to most suitors however, may crush a few egos along the way.

Tess Harding (Emile de Ravin), Roswell, 2000-2002

No stranger to television Sci-Fi due to her role in the hit series Lost, Australian actress Emily de Ravin once started as the extraterrestrial Tess Harding in the series Roswell. A master of illusions, Harding can make others see what she wishes them to see, this and her ability to control another person's mind, are both tricks that may or may not sit well with potential male suitors. On the other hand, her blue eyes, blonde hair, vivacious smile and petite frame may still attract plenty of admirers.

Lisa (Laura Vandervoort), V, 2009-Present

The heir to her mother's throne, Lisa is an alien visitor/invader who has been dabbling in human relationship. But unlike her cold-blooded mother, Lisa has been developing human emotions, and has demonstrated compassion, if not love, for human beings. Though she needs to break away from her controlling mother, Lisa offers more dating potential than others of her species. Like all Vs, Lisa has great looks, and a physically fit body. The character is played by Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort, who also played Supergirl in Smallville.

Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell) Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, 1993-1999

Played by former model Terry Farrell, Jadzia Dax would present a rather unsettling date for most men. While outwardly she has the looks of a striking young women, Jadzia shares her mind and personality with a symbiotic slug like creature named Dax. The creature comes with memory access to its past hosts, which give Jadzia an almost unmatchable level of skill and life experience.

Dr. Mariel Underlay (Kari Matchett), Invasion, 2005-2006

An accomplished doctor until the night a hurricane hits Florida, and she becomes an alien-human hybrid, Mariel is a woman with a full schedule who balances kids and career with body invading aliens all during the course of a day. This may make her rather difficult to date (so too is the fact that she is married in the show). Although half-alien, Mariel nevertheless retains many redeeming human qualities that may tip the scale her way. The character is played by Canadian actress Kari Matchett, who later went on to appear in 24 and ER.

Ro Laren (Michelle Forbes) Star Trek: The Next Generation, 1991-1994

Though she only had a recurring role over three seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Michelle Forbes left an in doubtable impression as Ensign Ro Laren. Laren, a beautiful single Bajoran woman, with a troubled childhood and past, would present a dating challenge for even the bravest of men, though the fact that she is in part an ex-convict (court-martialed for failing to followed order) may be some what alluring to some.
