With Valentine's Day fast approaching, there is still time to make those romantic plans for you and your Valentine. Rather than a standard bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates, show your love with one or more of these fun, seductive and sweet ideas that are sure to make heart-melting memories.

Love Notes: Tell your sweetheart how much you care with 365 heart shaped love notes. Get some construction paper (less than $2) and cut out enough hearts for every day of the year. You can also get pre-cut heart pads of paper for a little more that will save you some of the legwork. Write a unique message on each one. Be creative: use pet names, little phrases only the two of you use, funny memories or just say I Love You. If you get stumped for something romantic to say, the internet is full of sweet nothings and song lyrics always seem to catch the right feeling you want.

Heart Curtains: Again with the paper hearts, but not nearly as many. Leave them blank or write a note on each one, tape a length of curling ribbon to the top and hang a few from the top of each doorway. Decorate the walls, if you're so inclined, or hang a few from the windows.

Document Your Love: Collect several pictures of the two of you, memorabilia of places you've gone together and things you've done, grab some glue, tape and some fancy colorful pens and make a book based on your love for each other. Stationery stores sell scrapbooks or you can fill a notebook. Dedicate each page to a single picture, tickets to a concert or show you both went to, a picture of where you met or your favorite place to meet. Add some commentary to each page relating your memory of the event, picture or souvenirs. Write down the lyrics to your song, make up a poem or simply write a love letter on a few pages.

Take Your Love to New Heights: Olde Thyme Aviation, Inc. provides rides in a biplane or closed cabin plane from the Seattle Museum of Flight on weekends and by appointment on weekdays. Enjoy the sights of the city and the islands of the Puget Sound together. Don't forget to take your camera!

Get Away for the Night: Surprise your lover with a night away from home. Don't just tell them, though; make it a surprise. Reserve a hotel room either close to your Valentine's office or as far from home as you want to get. Meet your love after work and slip them the hotel room key in a Valentine's Day card (make sure to check in first!) or have a car pick them up from work and whisk you both away to a romantic get-away. Get as creative as you want - have champagne and flowers waiting at the hotel room, make dinner reservations or order room service ahead of time, get a hotel room with a tub for two and have a bubble bath waiting...

Love Story: For the avid reader, give your Valentine a book featuring the two of you in a romantic novel. Give a few brief details, including your names and favorite foods, to ustarnovels.com and the two of you will be featured in your own steamy adventure/love story. Choose the cover and the storyline of your 160-180 page book and every page provides details of your and your sweetheart.

Sweet Treats: Create personalized candies for a special treat. Customize your M&Ms with one or two lines of text and order a 7oz bag, glass box or silver tin of your own version of a sweet nothing. With these unique candies, watch your sweetie melt in your arms.

Candy Coated Communique: Write a love letter with the help of the candy aisle at the grocery store. Get a large piece of poster board or other sturdy paper and a variety of candy bars and other confections to assist you in creating an edible love note. Choose treats like Big Hunk, SweeThearts, Hershey's Hugs and Kisses. Write a letter and let the candy wrappers fill in special words. Be as silly and creative as you can and then enjoy the spoils snuggled up on the couch with your Valentine and a romantic movie.

Marry Your Spouse: For you married couples, use the most romantic day of the year to let your lover and best friend that you would love to get married all over again. Whether you want to keep it simple between the two of you in a quiet and personal romantic setting or share a formal renewal of your commitment with friends and family, nothing tells your mate how in love you are than rededicating your future together. Make sure to emphasize how serious you are by writing your own vows.

The Proposal: Many couples choose this day to pop the big question. You want yours to be remembered and retold for years to come as the most thoughtful and sweetest proposal ever. So pull out the stops and get creative. Buy some sturdy poster board and long wooden stakes. Write a series of love notes leading up to the big question and space them along the road your love takes home from work with the last being, of course, Will You Marry Me? A couple of important tips: Be sure to include the name of your Valentine to avoid any confusion and, if you're dealing with inclement weather, wrap the poster board in plastic wrap.
