Life can be stressful. There are many demands placed upon us each day. We are responsible for so much that sometimes we begin to feel overwhelmed. This is true for everyone. Each of us have different lives but yet we all feel the same stress. Some people are much more stressed than others. This can affect their health, decision making, and overall quality of their lives. This doesn't have to happen to you! There are many things that you can do to reduce the amount of daily life stress that you feel. Here are ten tips and suggestions that will help you do just that.

1. The fist and maybe the most important thing that you can do is to know you are not alone. Stress has been named a disease. It is very real and affects millions and millions of people on a severe level. Most of us are not that stressed, but some really are. To know that you are not the only one who feels stressed, along with knowing others feel a lot more stress than you do can help you to understand that stress affects the nations, not just you. When you don't feel alone you'll feel better.

2. The second thing that you can do to reduce your stress level is to learn to relax. Some people actually do have to learn how to relax. Many have forgotten because of the stress. To relax is to take a few minutes of quiet time for yourself. Do nothing, or something you enjoy. Physically and actually feel the muscles in your body relax. Challenge them to. Set aside all worries. Taking time for you is for you to relax so that you can better approach the problems and situations you are facing. You need to prepare to do so. You can do this by relaxing.

3. The third thing that will help you to feel less stressed is to talk to someone about how you are feeling. Your spouse will lend a loving ear. Your family will always be there for you, offering love and unlimited support. Your friends can share their stresses with you and you with them and together come up with ways to feel better. Talk to someone about how you feel and you will undoubtedly feel much better.

4. The fourth thing that you can do is to see a counselor. A professional has been trained to teach people ways to deal with the specific stresses that they are facing. When your stress level is too high to handle it's time to seek professional help. Counselors are non judgmental. They will offer help and sympathetic support on a routine basis.

5. The fifth thing that you can do is to talk to your doctor. If you are seriously stressed out your doctor may be able to help. All it takes is a phone call. Sometimes it's illness rather than stress. If you are extremely stressed out or anxious there is likely a medication that can help you. Talk to your doctor.

6. The sixth thing that you can do to reduce your stress level is to identify what is stressing you out. What is it that makes you feel the stress? When you can pinpoint where the stress is coming from you can gain a better approach toward dealing with it.

7. The seventh thing that you can do is to make a list. Once you identify what the stressors are you can actually write them down. Make a list of all of the specific things that make you feel the stress. Be honest. List every single thing, even if it is a simple thing. Many simple things when added together become quite a complicated thing.

8. The eighth tip is to look at each item on the list individually. Use a fresh sheet of paper to list only that one area of stress. Underneath it list all possible options for making this thing less stressful. List anything you could possibly think of to do to make this thing better.

9. The ninth thing you can do is begin to eliminate the things that are stressing you out. As you come up with options you then have the opportunity to take them. Take the option to make it better and to solve the problem that is causing the stress. As you eliminate situations and problems you reduce the amount of stress you feel. You have reduced the amount of things there are to feel stressed about.

10. The tenth and final suggestion that will help you to feel less stress in your daily life is to remember to live your daily life. Love life. Enjoy living. Problems are problems, we all have them. Situations come and go. Things get better. Put your problems into proportion and get out from underneath them. Look down at your problems. Resize them. They are likely not as big and bad as you are making them out to be. Live life happily and keep trying to come up with solutions. They'll come and all will be okay...
