Ten Ways to Promote Your Content on Associated Content

James Feudo
So you've published your first article on Associated Content - welcome to the content producers club. So what do you do now? Simple, promote your article.

Like any other web site that you're trying to market, promotion is key. Here are some ways that you can promote your content producer page (or any other web site):

1. Add links to your web page or blog: Put links to your content producer page (or even some of your articles) along with a short description. This will encourage your visitors to go see what you've written.
2. Add links to your email signature: Think of all the email that you send each day. By putting something as simple as "Check out my latest article on" followed by your topic and a link to your content producer page, everyone you email will know you've been published and will want to see what you write about.
3. Add links to your posting signature: If you post to newsgroups and discussion boards, add Associated Content links to your posting signature so everyone who reads the post will see them. AC even has code for placing buttons in your signature.
4. Start a discussion thread: Start a thread on your favorite discussion board about writing and post about your experience with Associated Content. If people want to join, they'll look at your content producer page first.
5. Invite your friends: Email your friends that you feel would be interested in writing for AC. Be careful to make sure that you only invite interested people - you don't want to spam everyone in your address book.
6. Host an AC party: AC sometimes runs promotions to reward people for having a get together to help others sign up with AC. Hey, it works for TupperWare.
7. Give a talk about AC: Local libraries and other community groups are always looking for speakers. Why not do a presentation on "how to make money writing articles on-line."
8. Create business cards: There are several companies that provide free business cards (you only pay shipping) so have some cards printed up and hand them out to people that you think would be interested in becoming a content producer.
9. Go on TV: Cable access is a great outlet for showing people how to do things. This would be a great medium for showing people how to become an AC content producer.
10. Add a link to your profile: Sites such as Linked in.com allow you to list your web sites as part of your profile. Create a "Published Works" link and link it to your content producer page.

So with a little work and creativity, you can be on the road to success with your Associated Content articles. Try thinking outside of the box and remember the four P's of marketing: Promotion, promotion, promotion, promotion.

Hi Nick. Thanks for the comment. Local library presentations are a great idea and a win-win situation.

I'm planning a local library presentation on "ways to make money online" with a handout with AC at the top along with the address of my page. (Not huge TV infomercial-guaranteed big money, but extra income money.) Then I plan to get into other sites with surveys, that sort of thing. Good article.
