Ten Ways to Save More Money

Times are hard and getting more for your money is a lot harder than it used to be. There are bills that need to be paid and expenses upon expenses, rising fuel prices etc, and somehow it seems your salary isn't increasing at all.

In these times as trying as it may seem to be everybody would do well to put aside a little for a rainy day. Hell even for a sunny day.

Here is a list of ten ways in which you can save money

  1. Make your own food, carry your own lunch to work, this is a sometimes healthy alternative and would certainly save you money.
  2. Join a carpool - Get a couple of your workmates together and formulate a schedule where you can share a carpool, this would save you tons on gas.
  3. Stop expensive habits - smoking is a habit that isn't very healthy and very costly to maintain. You can try making your own alcohol at home, which isn't that hard, you can even sell the excess!
  4. Take advantage of discounts - buy in sales, go to the cinema on discounted days, make the best use of coupons. Buy one get one free, how bout you sell the free one and recover your cost.
  5. Buy in bulk, it always costs less to buy in bulk, buying necessary things in bulk like toilet paper will save you in the long run.
  6. Budget - make a list of what needs to be done and how much should be spent. Stick to your budget. After budgeting a while you can budget for other people and charge a consultant fee.
  7. Avoid gambling; try your best to stay clear of casinos. Remember you always lose more than you win. Well the trick here really is that since you lose more than you win, the house makes the bulk, If you are house then you always win (please remember roadside gambling and dice is illegal)
  8. Pay in cash - Spending in cash makes you more aware of how much you are actually spending.
  9. Shop around - don't always buy the first thing that you see. Look around you are sure to find it cheaper at a different location.
  10. Use less energy; turn off appliances when not in use. The cost of energy use is rising, cut down and save money.

Saving money isn't that hard to do, but it requires you to make some changes. If you can stick to a plan you are sure to see a difference in you bank account statement.
