The Internet has a variety of ways to send huge files by e-mail. In reality, these files are not sent by e-mail, but rather over the Internet. If these files need to be confidential, these are not the best ways to send them. However, if these are files that would be okay to share with the general public, they are great tools.
Some of these sites require registration while others allow free use. No matter what, they all offer free use options. Some may offer more options for pay.
MegaUpload (http://www.megaupload.com/)
A file of up to 500MB may be sent using this site.

Just be careful using all of these sites. Never share any information that you don't want others to read as this is the Internet and others may possibly or even easily be able to gain access to these files.

MyOtherDrive offers unique feature that allows you and only you to read.
Before your files are sent to MyOtherDrive service, the files are encrypted using advanced AES 128-bit encryption. This means that when the servers receive your file, the contents are completely encrypted impossible for anyone on the Internet to read. When downloading encrypted files, enter your password, and the files will be decrypted on your machine before being written out. It's that simple.
