Ten Ways to Tell If Your Guy is a Mama's Boy

Jill Davidson
As women, we want to know that we come first in our guy's life. It's important that a guy treats his mother with love and respect, but some guys have never learned to untie the apron strings. Freudian psychologists, of course, blame the mother for not allowing her son to distance himself emotionally from her as he grows up. Whatever the cause, here are ten ways you can tell if your guy is a "mama's boy."

10. She still tucks him in at night, even though he has his own home.

9. She says he's still too immature to have children, and he's 45 years old.

8. Mama's boy has more cosmetics than you do.

7. He and his mother have a standing date to watch "American Idol" together.

6. Mama and her boy whisper and giggle together at family dinners.

5. He buys mama diamonds on her birthday, but gives you a blender on yours.

4. At dinnertime, mama's boy expects you to cut his meat into little pieces for him.

3. He has a bust of her on a pedestal in his living room.

2. He brings mama along when he takes you to a romantic restaurant.

And the number one way to tell if your guy is a mama's boy:

1. Mama's boy calls her three times on your wedding night!

Thank God my husband doesn't do any of these things to/with his mama! I was beginning to worry about him a little bit!

One of the reasons I love my husband is that he loves and respects his mother - but at least he doesn't have these issues!
