Family Watch Dog is a site that all parents should check often. Family watch dog is a national database of all registered sex offenders in the United States. Simply type in your address in the search window and click search, the website will return information on all registered sex offenders in your area. It also gives the locations on where the registered offender's job is listed. It shows a detailed map along with links to the offender's flyer where their picture is posted and more information of their offense. I recommend checking this site at least once every month. You never know who is moving into your neighborhood.

Children can simply type in the word they need to know more about and click the go button. The results are there instantly. They also have an updated news section for all the parents looking to keep up with ongoing news events.
eHow.com : this site is packed with how-to articles. Anyone can benefit from visiting eHow.com. This site has everything you would ever want to know about anything. eHow is a database packed with knowledge on parenting, pregnancy, health issues, legal advice, business, career, education and much more.
Your child's MySpace.com page. I do not in any way promote invasion of privacy. But in my opinion MySpace.com is not private. Keep track of who your children are chatting with and why. I am not against Myspace.com. I have a Myspace account of my own. It is a great resource to find and meet anyone form anywhere. However, children may not understand the dangers in giving out personal information to someone they do not know.
How Stuff Works is the site to visit when your children decide to play the game "lets ask mommy and daddy twenty questions about something that they don't know the answer to". Well, I bet you can find the answer on here. If you want to know how an engine works, what to shop for in your next computer purchase, how prenatal testing works or what ever else may pop into your mind, just visit this site and your bound to find out "How Stuff Works".
Discovery Education: offers a large variety of educational and fun projects that children can do. Discovery Education offers assistance with various subjects such as, science, math, geography, health, literature, world history and many more. It also has a great challenging section for brain buster activities for children. This can be a great help to parents and children when it comes to homework and studying.
International Childrens Digital Library : this is an online database of library books that children can read at any time. The reading levels range from three years old to thirteen years old. They have thousands of subjects and story lines to choose from.
Family education.com is a survival guide for parents. This site is a good place for parents to refer to when they need ideas for family fun, meal planning, recipes, activities, childrens health, and many more topics. They also have a separate section for parents of teenagers. Family education offers advice for parents trying understand their childrens and cope with problems at any age.
All the websites listed above are great resources to help parents with navigating their children through childhood and into young adulthood.
