Ten Wonderful Christmas Songs

Sabrina Ricci
Other than multi-colored lights hanging off rooftops and wrapped around tree trunks, I think the best part about Christmas are the Christmas songs. But how does one narrow down the thousands of Christmas songs out there to the top ten? Well, here are ten of my favorite Christmas songs. I'm not sure I can qualify them to be the absolute top ten, but I did include some of my other favorite Christmas songs in other Christmas song articles.

The first Christmas song on my list is "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth." This song to me is the essence of childhood, and it is also a great sing-along song.

Second on my list is "Frosty the Snowman." Another great sing-along song for children, this song also was made into a classic Christmas movie.

The third song on my Christmas song list is "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree" because it is just a fun song to dance to.

Fourth on my Christmas song list is "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," mostly because as a child, this song made me excited about waking up Christmas morning to find all of Santa's presents under our tree.

The fifth song on my Christmas song list is "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." This song to me represents the beginning of the Christmas holiday season, which is always cheery.

Sixth on my Christmas song list is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" partly because they play that song in a lot of Christmas movies but also because it is a very warm song.

The seventh song on my Christmas song list is "The Christmas Song," also known as "Merry Christmas to You" or "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire." Like my sixth song, this song just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Eighth on my Christmas song list is "Little Drummer Boy" because it's got such a catchy beat and it's a pretty powerful song.

The ninth song on my Christmas song list is "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." This song is cute and always reminds me how innocent children are.

And last, but not least, the tenth song on my Christmas song list is "Carol of the Bells," also known as the "Ukranian Bell Carol." Other than being a beautiful song, this song takes me back to my piano lesson days. As a child, I was proud to be able to play this song because it was somewhat difficult and it sounds beautiful on the piano, especially towards the end of the song with the crescendo.
