Tenley Pregnant on The Bachelor? or Publicity Stunt by The Bachelor Producers?

The Bachelor Teased that a Lady on the Show was Pregnant and Making an Announcement

Ryan Christopher DeVault
Tenley is pregnant on The Bachelor? The question had fans scrambling as Tenley stated she was pregnant in all The Bachelor promos leading up to Monday's episode. It had fans wondering if this would be the first time that it turned out one of the girls on the show was pregnant, but a sudden change in the way that ABC presented the show has caused an uproar. Many fans of The Bachelor tuned in to find the answer to whether Tenley was pregnant or not, and ended up watching two hours of the show without finding out anything that resembled an answer to that question. We have posted a video to that scene on page two to help out viewers of the show.

For west coast viewers of The Bachelor, ABC decided to remove a scene before it was even aired. Nearly a full minute of the conversation between Tenley and Jake was removed from the show in an edit done before it could be aired, and it has left many fans quite upset with the show. The question will change from one where fans want to know about a girl on the show to whether or not they want to tune in to watch the next episode in a week. Most fans will probably still tune into the show, because it has some of those addictive qualities, but it also could turn into the last season that some view the show though.

One of the most important things that viewers of The Bachelor have learned over the years is that the editing and the promotions for the show are often formatted in a way to draw viewers in, but not actually provide facts to back up the promo and commercials. It's an infuriating way to watch a show such as this, and it's a cheap way to get people to talk about the show in between episodes. Some would even call it under-handed, because the promos for the show made it seem like there would be a revelation, but then ABC had the scene removed in the final editing process. Is this a hint that the girl might be making it to the final rose ceremony?

In reality, the scene where Tenley states that she is pregnant was just a joke that she thought could break the ice with Jake. It might have worked, but it doesn't really seem like something that anyone should joke about in a moment like that. The producers of The Bachelor apparently loved it though, because it became the teaser to get viewers to tune in for the next episode. It's just another warning not to believe anything you read or hear about The Bachelor until you see it in person though, as this was another way that ABC decided to laugh at its fans while pulling the wool over their eyes.

Personally even though the show has an addictive quality and I am ashamed to admit that I watch the episodes at times, it just rubs me the wrong way. It seems that the females or males as the case may be, are incredibly shallow. They all just magically fall in love with the bachelor/ette in just a few weeks. The show might provide a place and setting for them to meet and possibly continue dating when the show is done but lasting love? I doubt it. Also please tell me what's so cool about this bachelor. He seems pretty boring to me. I mean what's he about anyway? I think ABC should forget about doing any more of these shows because it brings out the worst in everyone with only 1 goal in mind- nab the bachelor no matter what you feel or what he's like. Everyone is getting off on being on TV and that's what it's really about .

I called it ;) I said this was a tease the second I saw the commercial on Sunday! I didn't actually see her saying it on the show because I was caught up in something and missed that part, but I saw her telling about her divorce and knew that she wasn't pregnant. I can't believe they cut a part out! I will have to go to the blog to see what's up.

This show is starting to take off as a comedy. It's quite funny and yet sad too if you take a look at some of these girls and the professions when they just met this guy a couple of weeks ago...come on!!

If you hadn't written this, Ryan, I wouldn't have read it. I hate this show without reservation. One guy with a harem gets to downsize to one, all the while the women are expressing undying devotion and love. What ridiculous crap.
