Ten-Month-Old Opera Singer--Part 2

Pat Burroughs
A while back I reported on 10-month-old Ethan Pourtorkan and his amazing opera singing abilities. After receiving some comments on the article, I realized I should have done some things differently. One who commented said it should have been listed under "humor" if it was "a farce." To be honest, I haven't yet learned how to list an article as "humor." I'm sure there are many things about AC that I haven't learned, but I'm slowly finding my way around. If anyone has any advice in that respect, I would be most appreciative.

For the sake of honesty, I've decided I should follow up on that article. I'm flattered if anyone thought it was serious writing. But I must admit, that talented young man is my great-grandson, the first boy born in our family in over 40 years. And while I have no doubt that he has much not-yet-developed talent inside his adorable little self, he is not, as yet, performing for the public. His father is a great musician, a teacher of music, a leader of orchestras, and a devoted father. His mother, my granddaughter, while having musical experience, works as an accountant, though she considers caring for her son her most important purpose in life.

Ethan does enjoy singing--his own way--especially very early in the morning. He has been so busy with this singing that he has neglected working on his walking abilities to the extent that he has only lately discovered that talent. And having discovered that, I fear he will neglect his music in favor of more physical pursuits.

I must admit that to most people he would appear to be a quite normal little boy. But to his family, he is indeed a priceless treasure.

I apologize to any who thought I was trying to deceive them, as that was not my intention.

I'm laughing right now, and it's because of that comment. LOL I think it's sort of funny that someone said it should have been in humor if it was a farce. Is that person serious? I'd just laugh that off. You shouldn't have to apologize.

I enjoy stories about kids- keep 'em coming! PS- I don't see a pic on this, and I remember one the first time. I'd like to see that little cutie again!

Anyone who took it seriously is being ridiculous. I started to read it, caught on, and enjoyed the article thoroughly. It was humorous, creative and heart-warming. Good job!
