Tennessee Recipe: Moon Pie Hot Fudge Sundae and RC Cola Float

Barbie Crafts
A Moon Pie and a RC Cola are a Southern tradition. It is hard to fathom that many people across the United States have not ever had the privilege of tasting the Tennessee taste combination of Moon Pie and an RC Cola. Tennessee Hot Fudge Sundae is made with a Moon Pie. RC Cola makes the best ice cream float that you ever had.

I really can't with a straight face call this a recipe! But it is so good, and presented correctly can be quite elegant! But, it tastes best standing up at the kitchen counter at midnight!

Moon Pie hot fudge sundae

1. Remove your chocolate Moon Pie from the plastic wrapper.

2. Place on a microwaveable plate, but it needs to be whatever plate you intend to serve it on.

3. If you use the Double Decker, you need to microwave around 30 seconds, less for the Original. Watch it constantly. It will puff up as the marshmallow heats up, and it comes back down. But you want the chocolate to melt.

4. As soon as you remove it, apply vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

If you want to take it farther, you can add chocolate syrup and whipped cream....maybe even a cherry on top. You might want to hum ROCKY TOP while you eat it!

The RC Float is super-easy.

1. Place a few scoops of vanilla ice cream in a tall glass.

2. Pour the RC Cola over the top allowing it to foam!

3. Stick a straw in it.

Love the recipes you supply. I'm from North Carolina, so I know all about the Moon Pie and Royal Crown (RC) Cola. Tried your Corn Chowder recipe and its a favorite. Keep up the good work :)
