The best part of not having Pacman Jones is that the Titans are without his drama. They don't have to work about him being arrested every other couple of months. They don't have worry about him getting in trouble for his antics in a strip club. They don't have to worry about the negative attention he will bring to the organization because he his getting trouble. This can only be a positive. The Tennessee locker room has to be much more relaxed. The team is perceived in a much more positive light by the media now that he is suspended.
The Titans defense is playing well without Pacman. The Titans have had a number of young players step up and show that they are capable of making plays on defense. Second year player Cortland Finnegan has played amazing. He has gone up against some big name receivers and done quite well. Nick Harper has come over from the Colts and been a solid addition to the Titans secondary. Rookie draft pick Michael Griffin has looked very good. He is a versatile player that can play both corner back and safety. With the secondary and the rest of the defense playing so well Do the Titans really want to mix Pacman into the picture. They have maintained a top ten defense all year long without him.
The Titans have also made strides in their return game, a place where Jones was quite active. They drafted rookie Chris Davis out of Florida. The rookie has very good speed and with his size resembles Pacman. Michael Griffin has also been very effective in returning kicks.
No one will argue that Pacman Jones has amazing talent. However his talent has never been more talked about than his troubles. With only a few month off it's hard to imagine he is totally ready to comeback. i think the decision by the commissioner was a good one. Pacman should continue to sit out, prove that he can behave and then come back next year. Meanwhile the Titans can continue to keep the team chemistry and great defense they currently have.

Post a CommentI'm with you on this one. Pacman is a cancer to the Titan's organization. He needs to get his head out of his john brown hind parts and use the talent God blessed him with.
It's such a shame to see such amazing talent wasted on an idiot.
