Kyle go his start in his NFL career by playing with the Arizona Cardnials. Vandenbosch played four seasons with the Cardinals putting up modest numbers at best His best season was 50 tackles and 3.5 sacks. After recovering from and injury Vanden Bosch signed with Tennessee in 2005. Though the Titans had a losing record that year Vanden Bosch had a career year having 12.5 sacks ranking fourth in the NFL. He became the first Titan to make the pro bowl that year replacing Miami Dolphins player Jason Taylor. Vande Bosch would soon be compensated for his tremedous play as the Titans would lock him up to a four year contract worth well over twelve million dollars.
What make Vanden Bosch sukch a great talent is that his motor is always running. He is always playing at full speed weather it is practice, or a real game. He has a drive and determination that is matched by few other defensive players in the league. When he is on the field you know he is coming after the quarterback. Even when Vanden Bosch dosen't make a sack he is often just a second or two away from getting the quarterback hurrying him to make a quick decision.
After Kyle's breakout year in 2005 teams took notice. As a result the next year would be a challenge for the all-pro. Offensive lines were now aware of his talents and were prepared with doulbe teams to stop him. Teams would often role their quarterbacks away from his side and also run the ball towards the other side of the field. As a result Vaden Bosch did not quite have the success in 2006 that he had in 2005. His sack numbers came down as well as his number of tackles.
Vanden Bosch did not let this stop him however. In 2007 he has recommitted himself to getting back to his 2005 form. He has switched sides on the defensive line. He is not getting as many double teams because of this and the emergence of other linemen like Albert Haynesworth and Antwan Odom. Together these guys have made the Titans front 4 one of the most respected in the league. Vanden Bosch is numbers are back up and his is getting to the quarterback constantly every game.
If you don't know the name expect to hear more of it in the coming months and years. Kyle Vanden Bosch is a beast on the football field. He has improved the Titans defensive and may soon lead their team to a deep run in the NFL playoffs.
