Brodie Croyle throws a 9 yard TD pass to Kris Wilson to give KC a 14-10 lead at halftime.
Vince Young throws a 41 yard TD pass to Roydell Williams to give Tennessee a 20-14 lead.
Bironas adds field goals from 25 and 40 yards to give the Titans a 26-17 lead.
The Titans had to have a win and they got it. They look a little sluggish in the first half and one had to wonder if their game against the Chargers last week had an effect on this team. Nevertheless they pull it together in the second half getting some plays on offense and having their defense tighten up. Lendale White continues to look solid as the number one back. The Titans didn't throw the ball quite as much as expected, yet you could tell they wore down Kansas City in the end.
This was a solid game for Vince Young. Vince threw 16-26 for 191 yards and 2 touchdown passes. More importantly he didn't throw any interceptions. Again with a few passes dropped his numbers could have been even better. On the defensive side, Albert Haynesworth only played a few plays in this game. His presence was missed as the Chiefs converted on 65 percent of their third down plays.
Next up for Tennessee will be a home game against the Jets. Another must win game in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. They are basically in a two game race with the Browns, although, technically Pittsburgh has yet to clinch a playoff birth.
