Terra Soul

Spirit of the Woods

Casey
I feel the need to run, deep into the secluded forests that surround my home. The dark pine trees like alluring angels calling me to lay down in peace between the foliage. Every summer when I see the soft ground blanketed in a bed of olive colored moss the urge is insuppressible. I want to run! Run far into the woods find a nice stream and lay down, lay down next to its running water on the banks, a bed so comforting I would never leave. I would meld into the terrain like a fallen branch being reclaimed to the earth to dust.

Even through the winter months I still stare out the window at the most gorgeous scenery that our great state has to offer. Still thinking, wishing I could run through the deep pristine snow to find my place. I do not belong here, not anywhere near here, but I am condemned by means to stay in a town. But my soul is out there where I am meant to be, dwelling in the most perfect and peaceful surroundings. One day my dream will be a reality.
