Terrace on the Park In NYC - The Elegant Place For Brides On A Budget

Sara Romero
If you are a bride on a budget looking to celebrate in style then look no further. This old-fashioned venue is an anomaly amidst the pricey competitors of New York City and its surrounding suburbs. Upon entering Terrace on the Park, you are greeted by a majestic lobby complete with a grand piano and eloquently shimmering chandeliers.

At Terrace on the Park, there are three halls from which to choose; two of the halls share the same floor and lavatories. However, to be truly pampered and celebrate in style; choose the largest banquet hall located on the top floor of the edifice. This hall comfortably accommodates up to 300 guests. If you choose the top floor of this venue for your celebration you will have the added luxury of a wrap-around terrace which provides sweeping views of the New York City skyline and Flushing Meadows Park, not to mention front row seats at sunset. Incidentally, sunset is a wonderful time for photos on the terrace.

If the weather is clear, your guests will be welcomed to step onto the terrace to enjoy the cocktail hour; and will be available throughout the celebration. You may also choose to have coffee and dessert available on the terrace after the cake-cutting ceremonies. The room itself is filled to the brim with elegant décor features topped off with a magnificently illuminated chandelier high above the center of the room.

Your guests will rave for months about the excellent food, and the abundance thereof, served at Terrace on the Park! The extraordinary wait staff pours only top-shelf liquors, serves frozen daiquiris, margaritas and other specialties upon your request; leaving you carefree to dance the night away.

The menu promises a feast fit for a king and his queen with their deluxe "Belvedere" Feast options. The banquet managers will be happy to work with you to give you the celebration of your dreams that is also within your budget. During the cocktail hour your guests will be surrounded by a variety of carving stations, seafood, pasta and sauté stations, caviar bar, raw bar, and will be awed by an ice carving and wedding cake - made to your specifications - and an extravagant Viennese dessert table; ending the feast on a high note. During the cocktail hour guests will be given the royal treatment with a selection of Butler served hors d'oeuvres from silver trays. Dinner will begin with your choice of salad, appetizer, pasta and finally the main course. Please invite your guests to come hungry and leave filled with good food and wonderful memories of your special day!

The grounds of Terrace on the Park are available to the bridal party before the start of the celebration for photo opportunities among the gardens and gazebo. Terrace on the Park provides recommendations for photographers, florists and musical entertainment upon request, however they welcome any vendors you choose.

Terrace on the Park is easily accessible - and visible - from several major roads in Queens, New York:
