Terrorism, Unemployment and NYC

The attack on a Times Square Military recruiting station in NYC still has intelligence agencies and homeland security officials baffled. The NYC police department and commission Ray Kelley have been baffled for awhile so I don't think it appropriate to blame the attack for that.

Seriously though the latest Washington speak is that it wasn't an Islamic-fascist attack at all...how did the genius that keep us safe come to this conclusion partly because no one has claimed responsibility.

Hello, maybe just maybe no one wants to claim responsibility...I mean why should Islamic-fascists bent on the destruction of our way of life be given so much credit for perfection? Maybe it was just a terrorist who isn't very proficient, you know an unproven terrorist or to steal a theme from Hillary Clinton an inexperience terrorist who hasn't been vetted. You know a young terrorist long on fundamentalist ideas religious fervor and hate and short on actual proven ability.

Law enforcement has even suggested that it was too simple and unsophisticated a device to fit the terrorist model. Hello, how about a little respect for the blue collar terrorist on a budget. You know some terrorist--long on anger short on cash.

I mean if America the richest country in the world is in a recession it stands to reason given our global economy and international markets that the terrorist might be feeling the pinch as well. These people live in mountains in huts in the hinterlands some pretty poor countries. Maybe this was just terrorism on the cheap.

And what is this bullshit about not claiming responsibility? Maury Povich spends an hour everyday making millions on the unclaimed responsibilities of young black and Latino males. Would Washington have us believe these fatherless babies aren't genuine children simply because they haven't been claimed?

Perhaps this is an unemployed terrorist. You saw the Department of Labor jobless report. You know some out of work jihadist trying to get the attention of Bid Laden. Not to be a martyr or make any political religious statement... just a young terrorist out of work who needs milk , gas and a little heating for the family 7-11?

Remember when Timothy McVeigh reminded us that Oklahoma did have more than queers and steers? Maybe this is that other form of terrorist you don't hear much about anymore-a home grown terrorist. That could be it. It makes sense. Just like home grown weed it is never as good as what .you can get overseas.

Maybe it is some anti-military anti-war American terrorist. The people Bush and republicans refer to as unpatriotic. Maybe it is one of those real Americans who think we should just carpet bomb all the towel heads in the middle east (avoiding Israel at all costs). You know the people liberal democrats refer to as hawkish.

I don't know who the lone biker is, but I do know this much, to simply out-of-hand rule out the possibility that the attack in Times Square was carried out by a young inexperienced unemployed home grown or foreign Islamic-American terrorist speaks volumes to just what a shitty job our government is doing at keeping us safe and preserving our way of life from those who seek to destroy us.

NY Governor Elliot Spritzer gave a press conference after a story broke implicating him in a prostitution ring. The 1^st term governor and former NY State Attorney General appeared with his wife but took no questions from reporters. The Governor has since stepped down.
