The question is not whether we hear about such things but it misses the point entirely which obviously begs more questions than answers that are presently supplied in regards to freedom of speech.
Recently, a bicycle cabbie from New York created a web-site to mock and say anything he pleases. Last year, he mocked the beheading of Daniel Pearl, a Jewish journalist http://www.danielpearl.org/index.html and then proceeded to post a prayer to murder Jews and then to exhort Muslims; a command to throw liquid drain cleaner in their faces. He ended his post stating, "And there is nothing authorities can do about it. "
And who is this guy? A Muslim as if that is a shock and his name is Yousef al-Khattab and he runs RevolutionMuslim.com - sorry, if you put revolution and Muslim in the same sentence, it means something real bad.
Yousef al-Khattab had the nerve to say that his postings are nothing more than prayer and not a threat - and the brutal gutless thug slaying of Daniel Pearl was? And if that is not enough, he goes on to say that his "hatred" is protected by the First Amendment.
The most surprising aspect of this is that this Muslim, Yousef al-Khattab, real name is Joseph Leonard Cohen, an American-Jew. Yes, you read that correctly, a former American-born Jew and now a Muslim and an Islamic follower.
His arrogance shines in his defense, "If it was a threat, I'd be in jail." He then goes on to say that he is asking "my" God, that's what it is. And so which God is that, Joseph? Because it surely is not Jesus of Nazareth who condemns violence of any nature, therefore, you speak of another god, one of Satan. He views anyone who supports Israel as an enemy combatant which goes to the heart that America has and always will support Israel whether he likes it or not. And if what he has already stated was bad enough - "Please throw liquid drain cleaner in their faces," he wrote. ""Burn their flammable sukkos while they sleep ... Ya Allah (Oh God) answer my duaa (prayer)." - Just shows his charm doesn't it?
But I have to give him credit as he removed the offending posts and then posted about some mosque in Jerusalem - as if that would catch anyone off-guard who are not too busy wondering when Levi Johnston's Playgirl spread will be out on newsstands.
It has been said by legal experts that what he says is protected by the 1st Amendment because if there is time for someone else to challenge it with words, the original words are lawful. Maybe I am naive and surely not an attorney but what in the world does "challenge his words with your words make it legal?"
Al-Khattab notes that it should only be taken as prayer and not as an enticement to commit to genocide - sure, Hitler had the same idea.
Al-Khattab stated that he created the website to help preserve the Islamic culture - as if it has not already been preserved enough with the millions slaughtered in the Islamic name - and to reach out to Sheik Abdullah Fasil; the individual who was convicted in the U.K. in 2003 for spreading hate and urging his followers to kill anyone who is not Muslim - Abdullah Fasil is such a nice up-standing citizen of the world isn't he?
Law enforcement has stated that there isn't much they can do but sit and wait - or at least that is how I see it and an FBI spokesman stated that there isn't a "specific" threat. How much more specific should it be - actual names posted to make it specific? Al-Khattab and those like him, all of "them" have the same name - that same name is infidel.
So our Constitution protects freedom of speech but don't yell fire in a movie theater because the consequences of such actions can lead to injury or death from a potential stampede. Yet, it is okay to preach pure hatred to call on the slaughter of Jews as well as anyone who is not a Muslim in the name of freedom of speech. One wonders where this all falls under the so-called "hate" crimes bills that the liberals love to shout at the top of their lungs but I bet Al-Khattab and those like him will not fall under such a crime because after all, it is only freedom of speech; a speech to go and kill people - that appears to be a contradiction of terms if you ask me.
In case anyone has not figured out one central issue about all of this - our Constitution is being used against us by Islamic extremists to do what they do. They will say one thing but really mean something else. They have the art of propaganda down to a science and one day, we will wake up to a different America in which the Constitution means little. Since these radicals are using our constitution against us in order to spread hatred in the guise of the 1st Amendment clause, that same clause must also be protected by those threats that use it to further their murderous and devious agendas.
I don't act as if to take away anyone's right to speak freely. What I do advocate is careful watchfulness of the craftiness of Islamic goals that are used to disguise their intentions. Freedom of speech has responsibilities but it appears that political correctness trumps suggestions of death and destruction, except in the case of someone yelling fire in a movie theater.
Yousef al-Khattab, "I've never killed one," as he tells Foxnews.com. "I suffer from mental Tourette's syndrome. I say what's on my mind. We have freedom of speech."
Yes, Yousef, we do have freedom of speech, but to blame it on a mental illness tells me you have more than just a "mental illness."

Post a CommentJack, sorry to tell you but you know very little about the religion of Islam. The religion itself is not peaceful. Learn your history. We should be drilling for our own oil and not be reliant on the Middle East. Islam is very much a threat to this nation. Every wonder why the moderate Muslims don't say much? Do some learning and you'll find the answer. And as far as liberals are concerned, anything that comes out of their mouths is about as trustworthy as taking on a lion as a pet pretending you won't get bit.
"If the West continues to bury its head in the sand, regarding Islam, we may soon find the same removed from its host"
WTF are you babbling about? Islam is not a threat to America. Radical Muslims are. The problem with xenophobic nitwits like yourself is that you try too hard to demonize Muslims instead of accepting that this religion has been around more than a thousand years.
Even President Bush disagrees with your putrid logic. Demonizing Islam will actually alienate allies such as Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan (though the last one admittedly is a rather poor one) and cause oil prices to skyrocket even more.
Then the only solution for someone such as yourself would be an energy efficient vehicle which has been touted by liberals. Bitter irony, huh?
Sheryl, that is because the bible isn't the Islamic bible. No one dares mock Allah but they will mock Christ as every chance they get.
Oh, many have their heads buried all in the name of diversity and political correctness.
If the West continues to bury its head in the sand, regarding Islam, we may soon find the same removed from its host. A belated welcome to you C.L., I enjoyed this post & looking forward to reading more.
A ridiculous case. HIS freedom of speech, meanwhile, school kids are denied their freedom to speak biblically every day.
