There have been few Super Bowl Ads as of late that has left an impact.

But Terry Tate: Office Linebacker, is a classic like Nas's first album "Illmatic".

If you've never seen them (yes there are more than one) The C.E.O. of Fletcher and Sons, Ron Felcher, was looking for ways to boost morale and improve his products.

Enter Terry Tate: Terry Tate: Office Linebacker was a series of short comedy TVcommercialsc reated by Rawson Marshall Thurber, for Reebok, based on a short film pilot he created in 2000; Tate was first shown at Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003.(Wikipedia)

Some of the episodes were so on point when it came to basic office etiquette, from making more coffee when you take the last cup to not putting your feet on your work desk. They were halarious.

In many ways the commercials were mini TV episodes, injecting small subplots such as when the mail guy hit him with the cart, to when they brought in another linebacker.

Enter Courtney Cate.

In my opinion, he didn't have the flair that Terry had, but it was still a funny bit. Especially when he gets downsized for small mistakes "on the field".

And then there was the sensitivity training, which involved a woman with close to no buttons on her business suit from Human Resources after Terry hit a guy that claimed he was "assaulted" by him for no reason.

In closing, this brand of commercials by Reebok were a classic. In fact, they were so good, they even branched out with one involving Sarah Palin.

Yes. Sarah Palin-www.youtube.com/watch

Too funny.

While we're not sure if Terry will return to the Super Bowl Ad selection by Reebok anytime soon, he gave us a whole new respect for office etiquette.
