Diabetes has become a world phenomenon now. Every other day, more and more people are becoming diabetic. It is not a joke that more and more youngsters are becoming diabetes by the passing of each day.

A life threatening disease, diabetes can be controlled if detected at an early stage. Well, early diagnosis of diabetes is the safest way to overcome some of the complications associated with it.

A person can become diabetic at any age. Well, there is a tendency among youngsters not to check for diabetes as they think they are healthier. Normally, it is seen that people who are over 30 or 35 years go for regular glucose tests.

Well, then who should go for diabetes test? It is good for all persons, irrespective of age to have glucose test at least once in three months. First of all, obese persons have to go for regular diabetes check, as they are more liable to diabetes.

Well, people who have crossed 35 years should make it a part of their lifestyle to have regular diabetes checkups. They should check for glucose at least once in 90 days. Persons, who have a family history of diabetes, should have to check glucose levels at regular intervals.

High cholesterol, high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases are also related to diabetes. Persons having these conditions have to go for regular lab tests, at least once in a month.

Diabetes is a killer disease that is on an increase. It is always better to go for regular check ups at an earlier stage.
