Texarkana Pumped for Four States Fair and Rodeo
WWE, Demolition Derby, Contests, Rides Fun for the Entire Family
Aside from the popular rides, and games of skill and chance, the Sixty-Fourth Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo promises a nice lineup of shows, rides,and attractions for Texarkana and the surrounding four-state area. Opening the fair this year is a new show, sure to attract thousands of wrestling fans. WWE Raw Live will present its show on Friday, September 12, 2008. Doors open at 6:30, and the show starts at 7:30 at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center. This show will feature from RAW: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio vs. Kane, Kolfi Kingston vs. Santino Marella, Cryme Tyme vs. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in matches ranging from Tag Team Championships to Intercontinental Championships. Other WWE RAW superstars will be there as well. Tickets start at $20.00 and are available at the box office, or the website. This attraction is sure to be popular, so fair-going wrestling fans should make sure and purchase tickets as early as possible.
On September 13, at 10 am, Doolin's Harley Davidson sponsors the Four States Fair Rodeo, and this year's theme is "Paint the Fair Pink" in support of Breast Cancer awareness. Groups and organizations from all over will show their floats in a celebration of fun and fair activity. Later that night, the Demolition Derby always promises loads of crash'em up, bang'em up chaos and fun for the whole family. This event also fills up quickly, so call the fair with any questions you may have now. On September 14, a horse show will be held in the Entertainment Center for equine lovers, and those gearing up for the rodeo.
September 17-20, the crown jewel of Four States Fair Attractions will provide hours of memories and edge-of-your-seat thrills for fair goers -- the "Tough Enought to Wear Pink" Four States Fair Rodeo, and officials encourage everyone to show their support by showing up in pink on September 19. Calf-roping, rodeo clowns, and bucking broncs provide cowboys and cowgirls from all over with rambunctious rodeo action for four nights.Fair goers will meet the new Miss Four States Fair & Rodeo Pageant winner - the Four States Fair & Rodeo Queen.
