Texas Getaways for the Entire Family

If your entire family is in desperate need of a vacation then I have some ideas for your next family vacation. Try Texas. You will find Texas vacations for the entire family to be unique and fun, and you might even learn a thing or two. My entire family has enjoyed visiting these places and found these Texas getaways to be most enjoyable.

Stewart Beach, Galveston. Galveston Texas, is a fantastic place for your entire family to visit due to its historical past. If you enjoy beautiful architecture, famous stories, and nice beeches then you will enjoy this Texas getawhot spot. Stewart Beach is found on the north part of Galveston Island. Stewart beach is clean, family friendly, and posts plenty of lifeguards to watch over your family. While in Galveston make sure and look for the Duck Boat tours. My children loved the Duck boat tour, and as a history buff I learned a tremendous amount about Galveston Island. Our family stayed in a private condominium that we found on galveston.com. Our stay cost us about $600 for 4 nights. While staying in Galveston make sure and eat at Landry's for some of the best seafood on the gulf coast.

Great Wolf Lodge, Grapevine. This is one of the funnest Texas getaways my family has ever done. Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park that has the feel of a small resort. We stayed in a grizzly suite at the Great Wolf Lodge and were not disappointed with the roominess of our room. We were particularly pleased at how clean the rooms were. The indoor water park has rides for the smallest of toddlers to the oldest thrill seeker. The Tornado is a must ride. You will find the water park well staffed with lifeguards and I felt my children were always safe. The Great Wolf Lodge offers on-site dining, and the food is pretty good but expensive. We chose to eat at one of the area's small restaurants and saved some money. Grapevine also offers a Mills Mall, a Bass Pro Shop, as well as the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for you to explore. Our room cost us $180 per night and included water park tickets for the entire family.

Tubing on the Guadalupe, San Marcos. Our entire family loves the outdoors and we really like water. We found a cabin rental on hill-country.net and really enjoyed being able to tube on the river. A local white water taxi gave us the opportunity to tube all day and not have to worry about the walk back to our cabin, this was truly a treat. San Marcos offers plenty of restaurants and my wife really enjoyed the shopping outlets when she tired of the river. I have some very fond remembrances of this vacation, I particularly enjoyed the nightly campfire chats that I was able to have with my wife and children. Being that this is not your typical Texas vacation hot spot I found the river to be less than crowded, and the local area was not crowded with vacationers. Truly enjoyable.

Take one of these Texas getaways for the entire family and go spend some quality time with your family. Rest, relax, and enjoy!

Family vacations are truly important! Whether a beach, a lodge or a simple tent in the wilderness. Any budget can afford to get away from it all for a few days.
