Texas Hold'em is said to "take a minute to learn, but a lifetime to master," which sums it up pretty well. Hold'em is an easy game to learn, but to become a great player takes a lot of practice and much patience. Hold'em poker is a deceptively simple game to learn but it takes study and concentration to master it. Therefore it is a good game for both the beginner and the more experienced poker player. An interesting fact about Hold'em poker is that it was first played at the Golden Nugget Casino in Downtown Las Vegas in 1967.
The Texas hold 'em pot is won either at the showdown by forming the best five card poker hand out of the seven cards available, or by betting to cause other players to fold and abandon their claim to the pot.
