Texas, Land of Diversity

If you are unaware of it Texas is a very diverse land. It stretches from the Gulf coast to the mountains near El Paso, the Pinewoods, the Silicon valley of Austin, the dessert plains, the fruit and vegetable centers of the south, or the apple orchards of the red river, plus the Hill country and the Blue Bonnet Trail . We have about everything you can think of in this state, but even the names of the towns are amazing. Here are a few examples:

There is Happy; Smiley, Pep, Comfort, Paradise, Friendship, Sweet Home, and Rainbow, Texas to cheer you up.

Then there is: Sunnyside, Sundown, Sunray, Sun City, Sunset ,and Sunrise, Texas.

If you are hungry here are a few place to go. Bacon, Trout, Turkey, Rice, Noodle, Oatmeal, Salty, Sweetwater, and Sugar Land, Texas.

And if you want to visit someplace besides Texas, you don't have far to go because even that is here. There is Detroit, Colorado City, Atlanta, Athens, Miami, Boston, Reno, Santa Fe, Memphis, Denver City, Nevada, and Tennessee Colony, China, Egypt, London, Venus, New London, Paris, White House, Canadian and even Earth, Texas, not to mention Texas City that is named after the state and Texline, Texas.

To make it more interesting: we have Energy, Blanket, Winters, and Staples, Texas.
Or if you want history, there is Goliad, Santa Ana, Alamo and Gun Barrel City, Texas.
There is even something to please the kids. Kermit, Elmo, Nemo, Tarzan, Winnie and Sylvester, Texas.

Some other interesting names for Texas towns are: Frognot, Bigfoot, Hogeye, Cactus, Notrees,, Kickapoo, Dime Box, Telephone, Telegraph, Twitty, Best, Veribest, Whiteface, White Settlement (where I happen to live), Muleshoe, Cut n Shoot, Hoop and Holler, Ding Dong, Farewell and the place that we think of as Knott, Texas. at all. Grin!
