Texas Rangers Fan Lil' Ron Washington Captures Spirit of Baseball and Halloween

Keller Resident Liam Roybal is Internet Sensation

While other children browsed racks of revealing and gory Halloween costumes, the Roybal family of Keller, Texas came up with a unique character for their 7-year-old son, Liam. According to CBSDFW.com, Liam wanted to dress as an old man for Halloween. When his school celebrated career day instead of Halloween, his family found inspiration in Texas Rangers Manager Ron Washington.

Homemade Texas Rangers Manager Ron Washington Costume
This hysterical homemade Ron Washington costume comes from a few key components. Liam, who plays for the Dirtbags, had the baseball pants and wears eyeglasses. His mother, Ami, looked at photos of Ron Washington online and shaved Liam's head to resemble the male pattern baldness style rocked by 57-year-old Ron Washington. A moustache, some padding and a Rangers shirt rounded out the look.

Imitation Leads to World Series Tickets
News of Lil' Ron spread online and he appeared in TV interviews, including Friday's episode of "Good Day Dallas". The Rangers responded by inviting him and his family to watch Game 4 of the World Series. Fittingly, the game took place on Halloween and Lil' Ron appeared alongside his namesake as Texas Ranger fans cheered and snapped photos.

World Series Game 4 Leaves Ranger on Verge Series Loss
Liam yelled "Play ball!" and officially launched the Rangers historic game on Sunday night. Unfortunately, Game 4 of the World Series was no treat and ended 4-0 in favor of the Giants. Game 5 takes place Monday night as the Rangers face San Francisco at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

That was so cool. Great idea, even shaving his head. Thanks S.
