Textured Tights and Dangerous Heels for Fall 2011
Also, a Boot and Handbag that May Become the Sleeper Trends for Fall 2011
Textured Hosiery Adds Flair and Sexiness to Some Runway Looks
Anna Sui made the most and best use of the textured tight for fall 2011. Dark tights with a graphic almost psychedelic looking leaf motif at center calf looked great in navy and black. A pair of black sheer pantyhose with a swirly print down the front center of each leg can up the flair of a simple sweater dress this coming fall. Multiple lace patterns in a pair of fishnet pantyhose takes the once thought of "hooker hose" from trashy to whimsical for fall 2011. One of my favorites are the tights with the vintage motif at knee that extends down the calf almost looking like zipper teeth.
Dangerously High Heels Are Trendy for Fall 2011
Christian Siriano displayed dangerously sexy and very high-heeled boots at his show. These heels are dangerous because you may have a hard time walking in them as two of his models found out - one fell and another stumbled on the runway. Very high heels were found at Madrid Fashion Week as well. Davidelfin had models in platform ankle boots that were very sexy and not for the novice heel wearer.
The Open-Toed Boot and Fur Handbag May Be the Sleeper Trends for Fall 2011
Who would wear open-toe boots during fall or winter? Well Juanjo Oliva seems to think this look could catch on when models sported these boots on the runway during Madrid Fashion Week. It seems rather strange however, some probably though the same thing about open-toed sandals at some point as well. Eyebrows may raise at a fur bag but David Basso offers some very stylish fur bags that go well with his equally stylish ready-to-wear collection. Keep your eyes opened this fall, you just may see an open-toed boot walking through fallen leaves or a fur bag sitting on cafe table this fall.
Whatever accessory trend catches your fancy when fall 2011 arrives, make sure to pair them with equally stylish garments. Don't forget to have your hair and makeup complement your new trendy look. As always, gear these trends to work with your personal style and wear your new fashions with confidence!
