Thai Pan restaurant is a place that offers traditional Thai cuisine with an exotic and the décor of the restaurant is very sophisticated and elegant in a place that begins narrow to get wider towards the main part of the dining room and the prices are on the average end of the stick which makes it a perfect evening for a date.

The restaurant is located at 1223 West McDermott Street at the corner with South Alma Street and their hours of operations are from Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch and Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. for dinner, on Saturday they are open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

For their appetizers you can start out with the Thai egg rolls which are deep fried and have mixed vegetables, glass noodles wrapped in a thin rice pastry and served with sweet and sour sauce for $4.95, or the Nuer Tod which are strips of marinated fried beef served with a spicy sauce for $5.9, or even the corn patties which is corn marinated with different Thai herbs and served with a sweet and sour crushed peanut sauce for $4.95.

While for their entrées which all come with your choice of chicken, pork, tofu or vegetarian, you can order the pad prio wan which stir fried pineapple with a sweet and sour sauce and mixed vegetables, or the peanut sauce which is meat sautéed over steamed broccoli and carrots topped with a peanut sauce for $9.45 or even the kow gai tod which is fried chicken breast served with cucumbers, tomatoes and a sweet and sour sauce for $8.45.

And you can even choose from their royal curries such as the green curry which includes bamboo, bell peppers, eggplant and basil simmered in green curry and coconut milk for $9.45, or the panang which includes curry sauce, coconut milk and lime leaves for $10.45 or even the massamun which has potatoes, carrots, peanuts, yellow onion and all simmered with coconut milk and masseur sauce for $10.45.

And if you are still hungry and craving something sweet, for dessert you can try the fried banana for $3.00, or the sweet rice with mango for $4.50, or the sweet rice with egg custard or black rice pudding for $3.50.
