When I recently moved away from Seattle, Washington I knew I would have a hard time finding as many good Thai restaurants as they have in Seattle. In Seattle they have so many choices of Thai restaurants. There are many Thai restaurants in Seattle that are really good but these are the ones that top the list. These are the best Thai restaurants in Seattle. Their prices are under $10 per person.

Ayutthaya Thai Cuisine- They are located west of Harvard Market in Capitol Hill. Don't be turned off by the look of this restaurant. Even though it looks like an older dated restaurant it is one of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle. They have lots of different dishes including lots of chicken, pork, seafood, beef, and vegetarian. They have a huge menu and so far everything I have had has been wonderful. This is definitely a case of don't judge a book by its cover. Once you get past the unassuming looks of this restaurant you will find a great selection of delicious food. This restaurant is priced very competitively and you can get a dinner for two for around $20.

Krittika Noodles & Thai Cuisine- This restaurant in located in the Green Lake neighborhood, and has a large menu with many selections. They have everything from noodle and rice dishes to many different curries. The service is wonderful and they are very friendly. Most items on their menu cost under $10 per person.

Fremont Noodle House- This restaurant is obviously located on Fremont Street. This is a great Thai restaurant with great atmosphere. This looks exactly how you would picture a traditional Thai restaurant to look, complete with rice paper lamps. They have a small menu with choices of rice dishes, noodle soups, and sautes. The service is wonderful, and very quick. You also get a lot for your money and can get dinner for two for under $30.

Thai Restaurant- With such a plain name you wouldn't expect a restaurant with such unique and delicious food, but it is. Their Mee Krob is a delicious appetizer of crunchy noodles with an orange flavor. Their plum sauce is unique and yummy. If you are feeling daring try their squid sauteed in garlic and pepper sauce. If you don't like spicy food you need to be careful here, because you never know exactly how spicy your dish will be. Two people can easily eat for under $20 here.

Siam on Broadway- This is one of the most popular Thai restaurants in Seattle. Located in Capitol Hill this restaurant is almost always busy. The unique thing about this restaurant is their counter seating where you can look into the tiny kitchen and watch them make your food with the giant woks. The tom kah gai, chicken soup with lemon-grass and coconut milk is delicious, as is the rest of their menu items. They also have a bigger location in East-lake with a full bar, and karaoke, but I prefer the one in Capitol Hill.

Mae Phim Thai- This Thai restaurant is located right next to highway 99 in Pioneer Square. This is one of the least expensive Thai restaurants in Seattle, yet is also one of the best. They have all the traditional dishes like pad Thai, they also have a excellent garlic pork dish. They offer the traditional Thai iced coffees and Thai iced teas. Most of their menu items cost $5.50 for a large portion. If you are particularly hungry or want to share the dish you can add extra meat for only $1 more.

Bai Tong- This is a great Thai restaurant located near the airport. So if you are just stopping through Seattle on a long layover you still might be able to try out this restaurant. This is a great place for people have not tried Thai food before, because of their menu with color pictures of each dish it lets you know exactly what you are ordering. Vegetarians can ask that any curry dish be made with tofu instead of meat. They have all the familiar dishes, but they make each one their own with their special sauces.

Tup Tim Thai
- Very popular and always busy, yet there is hardly ever a wait. Service is always fast and delicious. The owners are extremely friendly, and will help you if you don't know what dish you would like. My favorite dish is the Rard Nah, big soft noodles with broccoli and a house specialty sauce. Every dish that I have had here has been excellent and left me full and satisfied. Tup Tim Thai is very reasonably priced with dinner entrees costing $6. With prices like this you can't go wrong.
