Thank You
To All the Warriors in the World

Memorial day is a federal observance day in the United States for those who have died in war. We observe and remember them because in America, the right to Freedom was considered our most sacred human right. But, throughout history, warriors, men and women, have died to protect other people's rights, property, and person, just as they have died to forge new homes in strange lands for their people. Idealists say, why do we need war? Why do we need soldiers? Because, mankind...is mankind. Greed and the desire for power seems to be an inherent part of man. As with all species on this planet, we too must fight for survival. In nature, the strong will survive, and the weak will die. Yet humans, because of their other inherent ability to have compassion and love for other humans, will fight to protect those who are weaker.
Unfortunately, those who are weaker often take this sacrifice and treat it lightly. They get a sense of entitlement and superiority and use the freedoms given to them to condemn those who gave them the freedom to begin with. They walk arrogantly on the earth soaked in the blood of warriors they disdain, wrapping themselves in a cloak of idealism and fantasy while soldiers stand ever watchful for enemies who will advance while others lie sleeping.
Warriors come in many forms. They are in the military, in the streets, and weaved throughout the societies of every nation. They are thinkers, and doers, and watchers who know deep inside they will bleed to protect those they love and that which they believe in. We may not always agree with the mission, but we must respect the inner strength of a man or woman willing to die so others can live in peace and prosperity. Thank you to all the warriors of the world.
