Thank You Gifts for Your Clients

Business Gifts to Keep Referrals and New Business Coming in the Door

Referrals are the gravy of any direct sales business and rewarding clients for trusting their friends and family with you is a great way to keep referrals and new business coming in the door. My personal company (and many companies) require that client thank you gifts are $25.00 and under. That may seem like a small amount to work with but you can get pretty creative and find items that make an impact in that price range.

On Overstock.com I was able to find 72 gift baskets for under $30.00. Some of my favorites are the "Sweet Tooth" gift basket, and the "Healthy Heart" gift basket which has stellar reviews and the "Salt City Candle" gift basket. Be sure to check the reviews as people will tell you how close to the picture the presentation was and if it was worth the money!

Other ideas can be found at places such as RedEnvelope.com and Gift Card Mall.com. Dinners out, coffee cards, or even movie tickets can be great ways to say thank you to that talkative client. If you'd rather take the time and create your own gift basket or thank you I suggest a movie night gift basket or something edible that the whole family can enjoy. This will remind the kids to participate as well in talking about their awesome real-estate agent, financial analyst, or whatever business you're in to their friend's parents, etc.

For Birthdays and Christmas I suggest sending a card to remind them that you're thinking of them and would love to get together if anything has changed in their lives. Maybe they'd like to start investing more money in the New Year or have changed jobs, etc. and need to get together to update you on their status. The end of the year is a perfect time to rekindle that contact and also ask them who they know that could use your services.

Being consistent is the key to thanking your clients and earning new referrals. I always try to find ways to insert myself into their memory at least twice a year and find new and innovative ideas to thank them for the life blood of my business, referrals.
