Thankful for You

This is the time of year to be thankful for the things in my life.

There are so many but a lot of them are related to you being my wife.

I'm thankful for your beautiful smile

Which, when I'm tired, makes me go that extra mile.

I'm thankful for a sense of humor that is a bit quirky

That makes me laugh even when I'm a bit cranky.

I'm thankful for the way you look in a dress.

In fact, just thinking about it, makes me forget all my stress.

I'm thankful for you keeping me as warm as freshly baked bread

Just by cuddling near you while we're in bed.

I'm thankful for your wonderful cooking

And for that body of yours; which I check out whenever you aren't looking.

I'm thankful for the way you make me feel as fearless as a tiger

Just because you still need me to squish a spider.

I'm thankful for they way your wild side comes out suddenly

Just because it adds some contrast to boring old me.

I'm thankful for the two wonderful daughters we made

Because they fill me with a love that will never fade.

I'm thankful for so many other things; I could talk about them until I'm blue

So I'm just going to wrap this up by saying I'm thankful for you.
