Thanks Giving Decorations Tips

Decoration is a important element of celebrating Thanksgiving. Here are some tips you can use for this year Thanksgiving.

Photo wrapped silver ware: Print out some nice pictures of your kids, small enough so that it can be wrapped around the silverware. Use different pictures for each set of silverwares. This will ensure a happy start to your thanksgiving luncheon or dinner

A piece of art work: Getting your kids involved is the most important part of thanks giving. They have to realize the true concepts of thanks giving, rather than growing up to just consider it a long weekend. Here is a simple idea to make you kids realize the importance of thanks giving and at the same time making a few memorable decorations.

Give the kids a big sheet of canvas and hand over to them a few crayons. Ask them to draw the first thing that comes to their mind when they think about thanks giving. Encourage them to write something if the feel like doing so, let them truly express what they want to. And wait, this is not just a kid's activity, adults can also use the same method to have a decorative memory filled thanks giving. Sketch on a piece of canvas, some of your childhood memories associated with thanks giving.

This is not an exercise for artist; it's for simple people like us. You will not be humiliated, but rather encourage others to recollect their childhood memories. When all the drawings are finished, display them all on a wall in your house. Walk your guest through the painting, letting the kids explain what art they have just created.

Turkey light lamps: remember all those dusty lamp shades in your house which you plan to clean up before thanksgiving. Don't just stop with cleaning, make them a decorative artwork. All you need for this is some water color and artificial turkey feathers. Dust all the lamp shades. Next paint the artificial feathers with various colors.

Do not follow a particular patter, be spontaneous and color what comes to your mind. Next use the feathers to cover a part of the top of your lamp shade. Use temporary glue to hold the feathers in place. Add some glitters to the feathers. When you switch on your lights, not only will you see glittering colorful feathers on your otherwise blunt lampshades, you will also experience a new kind of shadow art form on your walls
