Thanks to Sarah Palin, Oprah Tops Ratings, After 2 Years!

Raj
Oprah Winfrey, once respected by millions of woman across the country, had lost her respect a lot during the year 2008. Millions of woman felt betrayed by Oprah's racially biased support for President Obama, instead of for a strong and more experienced woman like Hillary Clinton, who was fighting day and night to crack those hard glass ceilings, left untouched for 200+ years. Millions of woman felt betrayed yet again, when she snubbed yet another strong woman, Sarah Palin, by refusing to even give her 15 minute of airtime, and instead, fighting hard for the person of her own race and color, Barrack Obama.

Back in 2008, 95% of African American population voted for Barrack Obama. When 95% of people belonging to a one race vote for one candidate unanimously, it is racism at its peak. That is what we saw in 2008. Never before in the history of American elections have we ever had 90% of single race vote for the same candidate. And Oprah was a passionate cheer leader in this. She ignored both woman in the 2008 race, and snubbed them. She stopped standing for woman, and chose to stand for race.

Last Monday, Oprah had Sarah Palin on her show, which helped boost Oprah's ratings after 2 years. The Monday's interview with Sarah Palin drew an 8.7 household rating, the best since Winfrey had the Osmond family on her show in 2007. The ratings topped Winfrey's heavily viewed interview with Whitney Houston. And surprisingly, the ratings topped Winfrey's interview with the Liberal's undisputable rock-star, Barrack Obama.

Hope Oprah Winfrey gives the same amount of love and respect to a non-African American woman like Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin, which she so passionately gives to an African American man. Hope Oprah Winfrey stops being a racist, and starts being a true feminist, one who will passionately cheer lead the supporters of woman candidate like Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin, and help crack those hard glass ceilings with 18 million holes in it.

It is a shame that our country couldn't elect even one woman President in the past 200+ years, when countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Britain, Poland, just to name a few, have elected a woman head of state multiple times. It is time that true feminists stand up and fight for this cause of having a woman President in 2012, and breaking this discrimination, based on gender.

I had no interest in watching Palin on Oprah or anywhere else. How nice it boosted her ratings.
