Thank you Lord, that I lived to see another day.
For the phone that keeps ringing and interrupting,
Thank you, Lord, that we have clients, and I can be paid.
For the fights and messes and noises,
Thank you Lord, that I have four kids healthy enough to make them.
For the near-empty cabinets calling for food,
Thank you Lord, that I have a home in which to put what I have.
For the blinkers that don't work on my car,
Thank you Lord, that I have a car to carry me here and there.
For the wars across the Earth,
Thank you Lord, that I am still miraculously free.
For those politicians fighting over money, oil, and land,
Thank you Lord, we have some still willing to stand for what is right.
For the stories I feel obligated to hear,
Thank you Lord, people feel comfortable enough to share with me.
For the tears my kids shed over small things,
Thank you Lord, for keeping them close enough to come to me,
Thank you Lord, for making them tender and caring,
For the hamsters and dogs and birds they raise their hands to put on the prayer list at church,
Thank you Lord, that they know You care about what burdens their hearts,
Thank you Lord, that our Pastor knows that every burden is worth a prayer,
Thank you Lord, for keeping me aware.

Very nice. Thanks.
Amen very clever piece!
That is wonderful. As a mother of four I felt exactly what you were saying. We can get caught up in all these "frustrations" but if u take the time to analyze it those frustrations really are blessings after all. Beautiful!
Clever
It's been said that being happy is not so much having what you want, but wanting what you have. Your words here remind me to be happy with what I have. Thank you.
So true!
Beautiful work.
