Thanksgiving: 2010

Dear Tom

Orchiolum
Ancient human texts
have lead the human species
to believe
that it holds dominion
over all life on Earth.

Perhaps,
before extinction comes for us,
we will know the fatal flaw.
Sincerely.

For David A. Reinstein, LCSW, whose agile mind, I suspect, is rarely still...even when snoring, and especially during REM. www.associatedcontent.com/article/5981734/thanksgiving_from_the_turkeys_point.html

I'll be looking for a new one for this year.

I like this and I'm sure that David at least cracked a smile when he read it. I enjoy your writing and David's too.

OK. This poem is my second potato chip. I'm not going to be able to stop. How nice that you dedicated it to David, whose work is also addicting.

Beautiful tribute to our earth. I hope we save her before it is too late.

Great and so true, what we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves. Some people translate "dominion" as "stewardship", that we are protectors instead of rulers :)

    Very well done.
